POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
I spent years climbing a ladder that wasn’t mine, following a path that looked right on paper but felt empty in practice. It took some of my hardest chapters to realize how precious our time and energy really are.

These words from Stan Lee in the audio have become a bit of a compass for me: “I think you can only do your best work if you’re doing what you want to do, and if you’re doing it the way you think it should be done.”

Every piece I create is a choice to do what feels good and what means something to me. It’s about the resilience it takes to start over and the pride in being able to say, “I did that.” When you wear my work, I hope it’s a reminder that it’s never too late to choose the path that actually makes you feel alive. by @shopingavaughn

This antique hexagonal step cut set in a delicate bronze bezel might be one of my favorite cuts ever. It’s just so mesmerizing to watch pull in the light, and it really stops you in your tracks when you see it in person.

The J-Nut definitely deserves its own spot on the grid.

What started as a custom piece for my friend @lostinstones, who nudged me along with the initial concept, quickly became one of my best-selling spacers.

I love finding unexpected elegance in everyday, industrial shapes. Hand-sculpted in solid bronze or fine silver with CZ stones set into its hexagonal frame, the J-Nut Spacer brings a heavy, modern edge to a simple chain or a complex stack.

This flame is one of my favorite pieces. It was born out of a deep appreciation for Storm Thorgerson’s iconic flame sculpture on the 2002 Audioslave album cover. I’ve always been drawn to the symbolism of it, and even more so, the music. I wanted to sculpt a reminder of inner strength and rebirth.

I hand-sculpted this piece in bronze clay, setting an antique-style European cut right at the heart with an open back so light can shine straight through. I designed it with an integrated hidden bail so the focus stays entirely on the flame itself.

While I’ve openly admitted I’m not a big fan of using molds in my work, because this shape was so difficult to sculpt and get the proportions just right, I created a custom silicone mold of my original pendant. Now, I press fresh bronze clay directly into the mold, which gives me the exact structure while still allowing me to hand-finish, carve, and set every piece individually

Whether it’s a nod to the nostalgia of an album that shaped you or a personal symbol that resonates with you, I hope it brings a little extra warmth and strength.

These flames are now available on my site with your choice of Old European cut or Old Mine cut cz. by @shopingavaughn

👻🖤 A little ghost, a lot of talent, and some serious 90s metal nostalgia! 🤘

My gorgeous little ghost, chain, huge old cut pendant and charms, has finally arrived, handmade by the incredibly talented Danielle @shopingavaughn in the USA, and I couldn’t be happier!

Having spent so much time learning jewellery-making myself, I’ve developed an enormous appreciation for the skill, patience and dedication that goes into creating something by hand. And honestly, the level of detail Danielle achieves with metal clay is extraordinary. It’s an incredibly challenging medium to master, and her craftsmanship absolutely blows me away.

But beyond her talent, she’s also just the loveliest person. A mum juggling children, life and running her own creative business, all while sharing wonderful little glimpses of her making process every day.

One of the things I feel most strongly about is supporting independent jewellers, particularly other women in our industry. There’s room for all of us to create, grow, inspire and champion one another. And knowing what goes into making jewellery only makes me appreciate other makers even more. ❤️

We also happen to share a love of 90s rock and metal, and her stories regularly transport me straight back to my teenage metalhead days! Hence the rather heavy soundtrack to this post. 🤘😂

And this little ghost has already had quite the adventure… travelling from the USA to the UK, then all the way to Thailand (huge thanks to my lovely friend Mimi @mimiscollectables99 for bringing it over!), only to be heading straight back to England with me!

Which is rather fitting, because as someone who absolutely adores Halloween and everything witchy, gothic and slightly spooky, I can’t wait to wear him in England this Halloween. 🖤🎃

Here’s to talented women, independent makers, beautiful craftsmanship, and supporting each other’s creative journeys.

Thank you, Danielle. I absolutely adore him! 👻🖤

I’ve been curious for a while now if lab diamonds would successfully fire in place in bronze, so I decided to test it out.

Here is the very first test piece, and I am so happy with how it turned out. This is a tiny sun pendant featuring a lab diamond, coming in at about one-third of the size of the original version, which is currently available on my site.

Getting this to fire and polish just right at such a delicate scale took some experimenting, but watching it emerge from the kiln with this level of brilliance was entirely worth it. I’m so obsessed with this cute tiny sun.

Lab diamonds are officially on the menu in the near future, bringing a whole new level of fire to my work.

What other pieces of mine would you want to see with a lab diamond next? Let me know in the comments and follow along to see what I make next. by @shopingavaughn

I usually make the Night Court Lumina in fine silver, set with a lab alexandrite that has the most incredible color shift. When @bijou.xbellex reached out asking if I could create one in solid bronze, it was as if she read my mind. I’d been wanting to bring this design to life in bronze for a while, and seeing it finished exceeded all my expectations.

In this video, you can see how I hand etch the tiny star details directly into the clay while it’s still raw, right before it goes into the kiln to be fired into solid metal.

Capturing the magical glow and color change of this lab alexandrite on video is almost impossible, but she caught it beautifully in her unboxing clip, so I had to share a piece of it here!

I set out to create a double bezel featuring knurling on both the face and sides, but matching up that grid in bronze clay was definitely a test of endurance, as bronze always loves to test my patience.

After several attempts, the 10mm old mine cut found its home, and I couldn’t be happier with how the final piece came together. It’s a little extra, but this stone means business.

This design will be available on the site soon. Follow along to catch the release date, and check out my stories for more behind the scenes as I make these in the studio!

These days multitasking is the only way to get it done. Say hello to my jewels of the day/quick product photoshoot from the school drop off parking lot. It was the first time we’ve seen sun in days and it was good lighting, and I needed to make content.

Being a mom, a wife, a full time business owner and all the things that come along with it, I barely have time for completing my own thoughts most days.

Autumn is finally here in New England and I just want to stop and savor every second of it. It’s my favorite part about living here and I obsess over all the colors changing and the cooler weather arriving (yes, I am one of the minority who doesn’t care for summer). I can’t wait not to be hot all the time (if you’re over 40 you know).

So the school drop off line becomes a photo op, the commute I have to make 4 times a day between both boys schools and home becomes my office hours. Customers get long winded voice notes with my kids talking nonstop in the background. And polishing jewelry sometimes has to take a backseat while I break to order grocery delivery before I forget.

Ohh and one of the giveaway winners picked a hexagon and I can’t wait to make this one. 😱

But also look at these ridiculous acorns. It’s worth the chaos and the insanity to share this all with you. Thanks for being here.

Also, the acorns will drop later this week, don’t miss out. ❤️ by @shopingavaughn

When my customer asked for a chunky dome pinky ring with a teal green stone and star engravings, I immediately knew this was going to be a fun build.

Seeing this piece transition from soft silver clay to a solid, mirror finished dome ring was so satisfying. The weight, the sparkle of the cut, and those tiny star accents turned out even better than I pictured.

Let me help you bring your dream ring to life. Taking custom commission orders- DM me to start yours.
