SUCKAFREE BRAND | FEATURED DESIGNERS Four Founders. Four Paths. One Vision. Built by friendship. Rooted in culture. Connected by Virginia State University. Suckafree Brand was created by four childhood friends and fellow VSU Trojans—Marcus Gloster (Black Cobain), Alston Waller (Slink), Justin Allen (Lil J), and Donte Rucker (Goose). After years of learning the fashion industry and helping build other brands, they recognized a need for something that represented their own neighborhood, community, and culture. In 2020, @shopsuckafree officially came to life—growing from hats, T-shirts, and one-of-one pieces into an online store and a brick-and-mortar location in the very neighborhood where they grew up. Six years later, all four remain active in the brand while creating impact of their own: 🎤 Black Cobain — recording artist, touring performer, licensed HVAC professional, and creative force behind the brand. 🤝 Slink — Boys & Girls Club Branch Director, community advocate, and entrepreneur. 🥊 Lil J — boxing coach and mentor investing his time in helping local youth stay focused and disciplined. 💡 Goose — entrepreneur and the group’s energetic go-getter, keeping fresh ideas moving from concept to execution.
