Okay… it’s getting real. 🤍

For months, Todlara has been ideas, samples, conversations, decisions, changes and a lot of waiting.

Now the first collection is finally getting closer to becoming something I can actually hold in my hands.

The samples aren't here yet…
but they're coming.

And honestly, I'm equal parts excited and nervous to finally see whether everything I've imagined actually looks the way I pictured it.

Every "looks good" had to become a "feels right."

When our printed fabric arrived, I didn't just approve it.

I asked questions.

Would the print still look beautiful after washing?

Would the fabric still feel soft? Would I choose this for my own child?

So we tested it.

Washed it. Dried it. Checked it again.

Because beautiful clothes are easy to make.

Clothes that parents can trust take much more than that.

This is one of the many invisible steps behind Todlara.

I thought choosing fabric would take a few hours.
It took days.
I ordered samples. Touched every fabric. Compared them. Selected the softest ones. Then printed on them. Washed them. Dried them. And yes... I even wrapped the fabric around my daughter before a single dress was stitched.
Not because I had to.
Because I wanted to be sure.
Every little step reminded me that I wasn't just making clothes.
I was creating something I would confidently choose for my own child.
And that's the standard I want Todlara to be known for.

Sometimes the right person enters your journey at exactly the right time. 🤍

I was still exploring, still figuring things out, still wondering whether manufacturing could actually work for Todlara.

And then, somewhere between all those searches and conversations, I found the manufacturer I work with today.

The MOQ made sense.

Customization was possible.

My own prints. My own designs. My own vision.

And suddenly, something that had felt complicated started feeling possible.

Maybe that's what consistent effort does—you don't always know where it's taking you, but you keep showing up until the right door opens.

This was the first time I questioned whether I was ready for this.

When I started talking to manufacturers, I thought I was just one step away from launching Todlara.

Then reality hit.

The numbers were bigger. The investment was bigger.

And the dream suddenly felt much bigger too.

For a moment, I thought...

"Maybe not now."

But instead of giving up, I changed my plan.

Sometimes, the dream doesn't need to change.

I thought I was building an import business.

But every small search started changing my direction.

One day it was Delhi market. The next day it was Gandhinagar. Then manufacturers.

Without realizing it, I wasn't just collecting information anymore...

I was discovering what Todlara was actually meant to become.

Looking back, I realize something beautiful:

Sometimes we start with one plan, but life quietly leads us to an even better one.

You just have to take the first step. 🤍

Every story has a beginning. Ours began on a scooty ride. 🤍

It wasn't a planned meeting. It wasn't a business presentation. It wasn't even a serious discussion.

Just two parents riding home after picking up their daughter from school...
