If you’re a keen fan of Kitchen Gaff you’ll be familiar with the powerhouse which is @shortie.techno, but for those unfamiliar let us educate you…

Shortie’s sound originally consisted of heavy, fast paced schranz where he learned his mixing skills, perfecting transitions whilst training his ears to be sharp and his reflexes to be on point with a set of CDJ’s

In March earlier this year he showcased his new harder sound in Room 2 when we had Kirsty and Blurred Movement join us for a event we ran in collaboration with @industryofsound__

You can expect a mix of his new and old sound in less than 3 weeks time at our return event in the infamous Metro, don’t miss out

SHORTIE, hails from the Scottish Borders, where raw energy fuels his electrifying DJ sets. Making his debut in 2024 supporting Sikoti, he has carved a niche with seamless blends of industrial techno and schranz.

Drawing inspiration from the likes of Klofama, GWELD and LS41. SHORTIE is a relentless force in the hard techno scene. Known for his fast-paced, hard-hitting sets, Shortie delivers raw, industrial energy that commands the ravers from his first beat to his last.

Having supported the likes of Sikoti, Revoxx, LS41, Kruelty, NVNS and Blurred Movement he is no stranger to feeling the pressure behind the decks.

SHORTIE has released tracks over on SoundCloud where combined have amassed 50k streams, and have been downloaded by some of the industry giants like Nyctonian & I Hate Models to name a few. Sitting on a stack of unreleased tracks we are sure you’ll hear a lot more of his signature sound.

Saturday was crazy.

Huge appreciation for @nvns_deejay for coming over after a full year of knowing him and smashing it out of the park, much love to a brother. Another huge appreciation for @ls41_cologne one of the most genuine people I have ever met, a great guy and a great artist 🫶🏻

1 year of ‘Shortie’

Saturday past marked one year since I played my debut show.

Along this fun journey I’ve experienced so many enjoyable things and met some incredible people. Supported some amazing artists and played on some crazy shows.

This Saturday I take on the metro, one of the most famous nightclubs in Scotland. Can’t thank everyone enough for the opportunities I’ve been given <3

Next year is already shaping up to be a crazy one and I can’t wait.
