#MedalMonday - World Majors Addition! Reliving last week’s Boston Marathon & earning my World Majors Marathon Six Star Finisher title. 🥹

Everyone’s #abbottwmm journey is going to be different along w/opinions/experiences; please respect mine as I do for yours. 💓 My ranking in order of favs to least:

🥇🗽 NYC Marathon (🏃🏻‍♀️x’s 5): LOVE the course and the diversity of the five boroughs. The energy of the crowd and city is like no other. Near and dear to me are the 343 #firefighters and still counting due to 9/11 related illnesses who I run for and #NeverForget, which makes it extra special. 📸 2021 Course Best: 3:51:21. My #UltraPup, Boomer came to cheer that year too. ❤️

🥈 🇺🇸 Chicago Marathon (🏃🏻‍♀️x’s 4): Immerse yourself in what each neighborhood showcases. It’s also my “hometown” race now so come visit! 📸 2021 Course Best: 3:52:21. 🎥 #TeamULTRA #OGFab5 reunion.

🥉🦄 Boston Marathon 2024: Rolling hills are my jam. If I hadn’t been going in on injury, I’d love them! It’s the world’s oldest annual marathon, toughest to get in, and is considered the “holy grail” of marathons, which I appreciate. However, NYC has my heart. 🩼 Broken But Not Defeated: 4:44:15.

4th 🇯🇵 Tokyo Marathon 2023: My PR & BQ, 3:36:23! 🥰 The race has strict bathroom and corral cut-off times! I barely made it into my corral before they closed it. It was a back of the pack and weed through the crowds scenario for me + the out and backs can mess with you. I’ve been fortunate to visit Tokyo three times now and absolutely love the Japanese culture.

5th 🇬🇧 London Marathon 2022: Landmark photo ops + seeing so many world record attempts in costumes were fun! Be mindful of the cobblestone and speed humps. ⏰ 3:55:48 - I was happy to sub four after battling a hammy injury at the tail end of training.

6th 🇩🇪 Berlin Marathon 2019: It’s so flat 🫤, and out of any race distances I’ve done, one of the worst in terms of race etiquette. Perhaps it was a language barrier. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Highlight for me was just getting it done and taking the train to Munich for Oktoberfest! 🍺 Injured: 4:49:29

❓What should I aim for next? 🤔

“Work hard in silence, let your success be your noise.” - Frank Ocean

🎉 I’m celebrating #MedalMonday with some shiny new hardware from the #TokyoMarathon, a new Personal Best AND a Boston Qualifier! Official: 3:36:23 World Major Count: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I never thought I’d ever see the likes of the @bostonmarathon by way of qualifying and really surprised myself. It still feels so surreal. Thank you to my amazing Wahoo teammates, Team Ultra squad, friends and fam for cheering me on from the 🇺🇸 to 🇯🇵. Special shout-out to my coach @wahoo_ct. I couldn’t have done this without you! ❤️ More to come on my Tokyo experience later. For now, it’s time to live in the moment and I’d say this sums up the joy I’ve found in running with #TeamUltra and beyond. Hope to see ya’ll for the @nycmarathon! #JoyWins

Kinda chic to use SaltStick 💅

Really though, FastChews & Energy Gummies (especially the Pop 🚀) are my go to hydration staples. 💦 😎

I use @saltstick year-round for workouts to the office and everything in between! 🔗 + Code In Bio

During Summerfest we stopped at Grand Appliance’s booth, and it paid off! I won their Summer Grill Giveaway! 🤩 We’ve been grilling a variety of meals and look forward to fall “tailgates” in our yard for football season! 🙌 🥩 🌭 Thanks @grandappliance for the @webergrills Genesis Prem SL-S-435. 👊 ✨

Thanks to my wonderful friends at @gabrielstaqueria we were able to try the viral 100% MICHOACANAS carnitas by Carnitas Carmelo! 😋 💯 🔥 Gabriel’s Taqueria graciously invited us over after they did a pick-up at the Milwaukee Pop-up today. 💞

Carnitas Carmelo traveling pop-up is famous all over the U.S. for traditional style carnitas, chicharrón, and cueritos. 🇲🇽

A glimpse at our first hosted Game Day “tailgate” 🏈 turned Housewarming Part 1 with Lake Country “Fam-bam!” I was too focused on all the things and missed photos of quite a few people and dishes! 🥰

Overcoming a stomach bug over the last couple days had me unsure of being able to get my 9/11 tributes in...

👉On the eve of 9/11 today, my goal was to get out with the weight vest for a 3.43 miler in honor of the 343 #firefighters and still counting due to 9/11 related illnesses. ❤️ 🚒 If you’ve known me for a while, I have done countless runs and workouts as dedications, along with fundraising for causes such as @tunnel2towers. It’s my way to take time to #NeverForget during the entire year. 🇺🇸 With the 25th Anniversary upon us tomorrow, please take the time to Honor, Remember & #NeverForget all those lost in a way that is meaningful to you. Let’s also support those who are still fighting mentally and physically over all these years. 🙏 by @shorty_le6

💝 Hello Kitty & Friends x Godzilla 🔥 “I’m Lovin’ It.” Thanks @mcdonalds for helping me forget about adulting for a while! 😊 “Blind Boxing” it was fun, but we ended up asking at the counter in the end to see what was available at any given location. IYKYK 💅
