Everything started to come together so much more smoothly when I became more intentional about every decision I was making behind the scenes.

I’ve been transitioning from being a “service provider” whose main goal was to make her clients feel comfortable, into seeing myself as a creative asset: someone who is there to bring a creative eye, make decisions, experiment, and actually lead.

And that means being okay with things not always being understood straight away.

Being okay with saying, “Well, that didn’t work. Let’s try something else.”

Being okay with trusting my own eye instead of constantly second-guessing whether everyone else will get it.

Because once you start creating something that genuinely feels like your own style, and you keep refining the way you tell stories, something shifts. The people who see the beauty in what you’re creating will genuinely want you to be the person who tells their story.

You don’t have to convince everyone.

Trust is earned through confidence, consistency and experiences shared. Having the confidence to say, this is how I see it.

I still want my couples to feel safe, relaxed and completely themselves in front of my camera. But I don’t want to simply provide a comfortable experience anymore.

I want to create something with them.

To notice things they might not have.

To make creative decisions.

To experiment. (When appropriate lol)

To try something a little different.

And everything has started to feel so much more exciting since I gave myself permission to do that.

I hope this helps someone else who is working toward that. Because I heard it and didn’t quite get it until I did 😂 (sometimes the same reminders need to be shared again and again for wherever/whenever you are for it to click) at least for meeee
