As we close out October (my mother’s birthday month) I wanted to share these photos I shot of her. We had 5 minutes to take them and yet she still slayed and shined. ✨ I am so proud of her beauty and resilience. She has powered through in the film industry and helped pave the way for my siblings and I, and all the other Hualapai tribal members and indigenous people who are searching for representation in films and tv. She is a powerhouse but with warmth, light and acceptance of others. She has taught me that there is strength in kindness and helping others in need. 🥹💗✨ Earlier this year, she worked really hard on a film project with indigenous ally and director @holthamiltonfilms and this SATURDAY November 1st, the fruits of her labor is premiering in Tempe, Arizona. #FindingHozho it will be released in select theaters across the nation starting November 7th. 🥰 by @shotbycheyenne
