Hello, welcome to Shot by Dai 📷

I have so much to share with you and so much to say, but for now I’ve got to get this out into the world before I overthink it. Thank you to everyone who continues to support me and my work. It means so much to me.

I worked hard to create a portfolio that was a real reflection of me. Something that felt authentic, warm, and personal. I hope you like it❤️

Reflections

I now have a small album of these and I can’t wait to take more everywhere I go. Deeply inspired Vivian Maier’s work, and one day I will add a medium format camera with a waist level viewfinder to the collection to better capture self portraits. Selfies are cool but letting your environment frame you is even cooler.

When @christenkinard made a messy boxing ring look like a runway😍 I love a good creative challenge and an unusual location!

Nothing makes me happier than a client with a vision and a Pinterest board ready! It was so fun to bring this 1920’s themed glam shoot to life.

While I usually prefer to be outside shooting with natural light, @ashleyjeancreative showed me the ropes at her space @blanchecreativestudio and WOW. I was blown away by the details in the studio, the creativity, and Ashley’s guidance with equipment I’d never used before. I can’t wait to get back in the studio again!
