Whatsthis GR tech park!

Light is invisible. You never really see it.You see what it reveals.

At Whatsthis Studios, we’ve always believed that light is more than illumination, it’s a storytelling medium. Something intangible, yet deeply emotional.

GR Tech Park gave us the opportunity to explore that idea at an urban scale.

Four towers. Four natural elements.Dhara. Jal. Vaayu. Akash.

And the story we chose to tell across them all: Agni.

Not fire as an object, but as a feeling.Warmth. Movement. Intensity.A facade that feels alive — glowing, breathing, almost ablaze.

Every layer of light, shadow, contrast and rhythm was driven by one question:

How do you create fire using only light?

Because that’s ultimately what lighting design means to us.

WITH LIGHT WE PAINT.

What’s this GR Tech! part ll

Well… how do you create fire using light? 🔥✨

You don’t make it perfect.
You don’t make it symmetrical.
You let it move.

This façade was lit like a flame —
asymmetric, rhythmic, and very much alive.
Each fin glows in a deliberate yet apparently random pattern, creating movement, drama, and a sense of flicker across the surface.

The fun (read: painful) bits 😅👇
🔥 Fin gaps under 4” — zero room to hide anything
🔥 Custom ultra-shallow canopies developed with the manufacturer
🔥 Fixtures fully invisible, RAL-matched to the ACP (yes, even that matters)
🔥 Fin heights from 5–12 m = serious beam math 📐
🔥 All cables routed inside the fins (clean facade = happy designers)
🔥 Asymmetry = fewer fixtures, less energy, lower cost 💡💰

What looks wild is carefully choreographed.
What feels random is deeply intentional.

This isn’t lighting that sits on architecture —
it ignites it. 🔥
