Penelope on film, 2022, Hamburg, Germany

Finally, we have made our way into 2022 with my pictures 🎉 and I am so glad I get to kick things off with these analog ones. In this year I truly decided to step up my game, challenge myself and and approach projects with more of a “what’s stopping me?”-attitude. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone, try out new things and look at my pictures as something that doesn’t have to be liked by everybody. I also tried putting away my digital camera more and going back to the basics of good old film, to remind myself to slow down, and be more decisive in my choices. And this is the outcome from my first analog studio session.

I have to thank Penelope for being so amazing and stepping in front of the camera for this project of mine. Such a kind Soul that has become a friend and a person I would almost call a muse. I hope we get to do some more cool stuff in the future.

01.05.25 • “Deja vu” on 35mm Cinestill 250D for @khrome_hamburg ‘s first ever Photo Jam

What would you do if you were handed a surprise roll of film, a surprise theme and then only had 48 hours to make something out of those things?

Those were the question I confronted myself with last year.  I had never taken part in a photo competition nor had I any idea what i should expect. And to be honest, I didn’t expect any of the things that were to follow. Neither the topic; DejaVu - which had my brain spinning with ideas-, me actually driving 2 hours away from Hamburg to shoot this roll and the insanity that followed, nor that I would actually make 4th place.  But what an opportunity it was. Getting to shoot a roll I had never shot, with a camera I was still getting the hang of and simply trying out things and not having to worry about them potentially not working out, because for once, this wasn’t a client project.  I had forgotten how the sheer desire to create and fulfil my own vision felt, what energy it brought and this was the asskick I needed.

Of course not every shot on this roll is worth gold but I loved the range we ended up with and actually struggled to pick the one I would submit. So here are the 3 I am most proud of, simply cause I had never just relied on my knowledge and shot film with an external flash, without metering before and I simply love how they turned out.

25.11.2024 • bts and Cover for “Deluxe 1A” by @vianoffiziell

I already showed you my fav shot from this shoot in the last Post but I didn’t want to skip on the things I was actually hired for 🫣😂

Because back in 2024 I got to join the most wonderful team to visualize Vian’s singles in that year, this being one of them.

I adore projects like this, being given the opportunity to actually shape the look of something over time all while growing as a team. Because even though I’ve gotten quite proficient on my own, getting to be a part of a team like this, really shows you what incredible potential still rests deep inside. Not having to focus on everything by myself, but really being able to lock in on a particular tasks and together kind of forming a big machine of gears all locking into each, made my work not only easier and more enjoyable but also simply better.
Not just because of the lifted weight but also because these sets and simply watching incredible people do incredible stuff, always teaches me so sooo much!

Potentially my favorite shot from this music video shoot but also one that hasn’t seen the light of day, until today.

We were so stoked with this photo that we initially kept it under wraps, with talks of it potentially becoming an EP Cover or something similar. But then time passed, life happened, plans, ideas and directions changed and this photo stayed unused. With us not daring to “waste it on something not special enough” by simply putting it out there, its moment simply passed and it never really found its way off of the hard drive.

It’s kinda like never eating those fancy olives you brought back from vacation, because they were expensive and the moment doesn’t seem “special” enough yet and before you know it, years have passed and the olives have spoiled. Giving yourself no other option than to throw them out.

In this case I’ve decided that I don’t want to throw this out and all it needs to make it special, is me posting it.

So my takeaway from this, eat those damn olives, light your “special” candles and simply post that damn photo ✨🤷🏼‍♀️

11.02.2026 • FILA x DEICHMANN /w @anaisvibin campaign launch event in Hamburg.

I was commissioned by @silkrelations to shoot this event, capture the evening and its guests.

So yeah, if you didn’t know, I do do events and other stuff, a lot of the times they just stay off of insta 🫣

18.05.2023 • @elav.elav.elav after her show in Hamburg.

It’s been almost 3 years since I’ve taken these pictures and I am finally uploading them 🫣✨(thank you for all your kind words)
They also feel like the perfect start to posting again, because even though it’s been a minute, I am actually still really stoked about these photos, which doesn’t happen often…

I think it has a lot to do with the general vibe of that evening as well, because we didn’t have a shoot planned or anything. The show had just finished, everything was packed up and we were heading home but our 2 adhd brains just couldn’t stop yapping, then we found a ladder to a roof and we simply HAD to take pictures 🫣🤷🏼‍♀️

There was no plan, no expectations or rules just joy and a desire to create.

It let us be free, try out silly stuff and just enjoy ourselves. That’s what I wanna aim for more often again.

Straight back into it with some more stuff from 2023, crazy how it has been almost 2 years (I better start catching up) 🫣
I did actually really enjoy going back through these photos tho because I can tell that I had learned heaps on the tour prior, see progress but also how important the bit of downtime was inbetween, just to break out of some photo habits and actually break into the new found knowledge. Was great applying everything learned to a new stage, new people and that with a new found confidence as well. Looking at these I can especially tell that I had gotten so much more confident with my flash, as well as what moments I wanted to capture.
It was exciting to work with my first ever international band and not only were the boys a pleasure to photograph, with all of their energy they brought to the stage, but they were also incredibly kind and gave me a super interesting insight into the industry overseas

03.02.2025 - Visualizer for „18“ by @cecismusic_

One of the last things I shot in 2024 and the first thing to come out in 2025.

It truly is the people in our lives that can make us realise, what we are capable of, but it’s still on us, to decide what we do with that. And not only is this concept of growth, perception and self expression one we tried exploring with these slightly abstract visuals, but also something I got to be reminded off, throughout the whole process.
Having had the chance to work with so many incredibly talented and passionate creatives, in amazing teams and for such wonderful musicians and projects over the last year, I learned so much, constantly challenging my skill in the process. But with this video I got to challenge so much more, especially my fears. Because even though my desire to create and express had never left me, the fear of doing so, had grown with my skill and the expectation I put on myself. For this song I got to freely create, had to let go and tried to translate my photography into motion and ended up with something that I am actually quite proud of! So I am extremely grateful for the continued support from @cecismusic_ , this wonderful song, her trust and these opportunities. You make me feel seen and excited for the future!

20.03.2023 • „Loneliness isn’t born from the absence of others, but from the absence of self“, starring @_dieilka_

I know pretty much every Post description has started like this recently, but as I had mentioned; last years March was pretty jam packed. In between uni work, music video shoots, EPK’s and my first ever tour, I also had to move out of my flat (for reasons that still feel like they should’ve been an episode in some weird reality tv show, anyway..).
It was all a massive hassle, because I couldn’t move into the new flat until I had returned from tour, so I basically had to move all of my things twice 🫠 (big shoutout to my parents for letting me park all my shit at theirs for 2 weeks)
But before I could leave this flat behind I just had to shoot something in my room, because its layout always inspired me. And what better time, if you are completely emptying it out anyway, I thought. So I started writing a script, calling around and trying to make the impossible possible and 3 days before I headed on tour, with the help of @victor.rubow , I pulled a 24 hour shoot day and shot my own little short film. Back then still with the prospect of maybe using it for a uni assignment but also because I had dreamt of simply doing so, for some time. Even during the shoot I quickly realized that there is still a lot for me to learn, and that pre-production and planning really is one of your best friends, but there just wasn’t enough time ahead to plan and write everything out perfectly. I should also say at this point, that if has been a year and I haven’t edited it yet 🫣🫠 I’ve just been sooo busy. But also because I am worried that it won’t live up to my expectations. The theme of it all, about taking time with oneself, learning what makes being alone feel lonely and if we can come to terms with it, is such a personal matter that I just want to do it right, you know.
But here are 2 analog shots, that I took during filming.
