That little stomach-drop before you reformat a card? We killed it - comment SAFE and I’ll send you a free trial 👇

Being a professional photographer is basically just a series of mild panic attacks every time you go to clear an SD card. “Did it back up? Is it definitely backed up? Let me just check one more time…” Every single time.

ShotSafe is the fix. Two drives, every byte verified - it won’t tell you it’s safe to reformat until it genuinely is. No more panic. Just green.

Comment SAFE and I’ll drop a free 7-day trial straight in your DMs. Founding rate closes 14.11. ✌🏻📸

The features we’re most proud of in ShotSafe. Every one exists because it annoyed me first - the boring, stressful bits between the card and the edit, finally sorted.

Swipe through 👉🏻 and if you’ve been on the fence, the founding rate closes 14.11. Lock it in before then and it’s yours at the best price it’ll ever be. Link in bio.

Sick of typing the same copyright, contact and caption info into every single shoot by hand?

Save a metadata set per project type - wedding, commercial, portrait - and ShotSafe applies it automatically on ingest. Your details are embedded in every file the second it lands.

Set it once, never think about it again.

Culling with no end in sight - no idea if you’re 10% in or 90% - is why it feels endless.

ShotSafe gives you a live progress counter and a cull target, so you always know exactly how far through you are.

The slog everyone dreads, with a finish line you can actually see.

“I think it’s backed up.” That nagging doubt every time you go to reformat a card. ShotSafe backs up to two drives at once and verifies every byte against the original - it won’t go green until it’s genuinely safe.

Because backed up isn’t safe until it’s verified. Certainty, not hope.

Drives fail. Usually with no warning, usually at the worst possible moment - and your work’s sat on them.

ShotSafe reviews the health and speed of your drives, so you can spot a tired one before it dies.

The earliest warning is the cheapest one - replace a drive on your terms, not the day after it takes a wedding with it.

Opening folder after folder just to check where a shoot is and whether it’s actually backed up?

The active projects overview puts every live job in one place - where it lives, and that it’s safe. You glance, you see green, you know.

With dozens of projects on the go, it’s easy to lose track of what’s backed up where - and that’s exactly when something slips through.

The project status overview reviews every project, what’s backed up, and where. One screen for your whole catalogue: nothing forgotten, nothing assumed, everything accounted for. by @shotsafe.co

Backed up isn’t the same as safe. Hear me out…

Copying your cards across is the easy bit. Actually knowing every single file made it over, intact, exactly as it was - that’s the part that keeps you going back to check the drive three times.

That’s the whole reason ShotSafe exists. Two things happen:

1. A full backup to two drives at once - one pass, a second copy for free, no extra time.

2. Then it verifies everything, byte for byte. It goes back through every piece of data on that card and checks it against the original. Not “did the file copy” - every byte, confirmed. Only when it’s all verified does ShotSafe tell you it’s safe to eject. Safe to reformat.

No more panic before you hit format. No more “I think it’s backed up.”

And here’s the part nobody thinks about: hard drives are cheap, SD cards aren’t. The sooner you can trust a card’s clear and reformat it, the fewer cards you’re buying to sit on. So it’s not just peace of mind - it genuinely saves you money.

Sent to me by Cav this week, and honestly, this is my favourite kind of thing to see. 🥰

A real photographer, opening up a real wedding, culling his selects in ShotSafe. Not a demo I set up, just someone actually using the thing I built, in the middle of their own workflow.

This is exactly what I hoped for when I started: not me talking about ShotSafe, but photographers quietly getting on with it, getting their images backed up, sorted and culled, and moving on with their day.

Thanks Cav, genuinely made my week. 🫶🏻

I still can’t quite believe this…. 🥰

When I started building ShotSafe, it was just me, at my desk, hoping I could make the thing I always wished existed. I didn’t really let myself imagine other photographers using it; actual working pros, trusting it with their shoots, their clients, their work.

And now… here we are. Swipe through; this is a few of the photographers using ShotSafe right now, in their own words.

Every single message like this floors me a little. People running multiple businesses, shooting weddings every weekend, telling me it’s made their lives easier, that they’ve got a bit more time back for the parts they actually love.

I’m not sharing this to sell you anything. I just genuinely wanted to say thank you, to everyone who’s taken a chance on it, trusted it, and sent words like these. It means more than you know, and it’s quietly pointing ShotSafe somewhere really exciting.

More soon. 🫶🏻

Watch it go green. 💚

That’s every single image from a shoot, backed up and verified - checked byte for byte against the original, so you know it’s not just copied, it’s genuinely safe.

Most tools copy your files and call it done. ShotSafe doesn’t assume, it checks every one, then tells you you’re safe. Because “backed up” and “safe” aren’t the same thing.

So you can close the laptop after a long day and actually sleep easy. 🖤

Two and a half weeks in, and ShotSafe hasn’t stopped moving. 🛠️

New metadata sets, a sharper progress bar, a video status bar, a storage calculator, more testing, and a Windows build on the way - all shaped by the photographers actually using it.

You asked, we built.

This is the bit I love most: it’s not finished, it’s alive. Every week it gets a little better, because the people using it tell me what they need.

Founding membership is open until the end of October - lifetime access, one payment, every update to come. After that it’s subscription only.

Next week, the trial version goes live!!

THIS, is exactly why I built ShotSafe. 🖤🎧

No script, no ask, just a photographer who tried it and couldn’t help but send this.

Two drives in one pass. Culling built in. And the folders? Built and named automatically, so she never has to do it again.

This is the stuff that makes six months of building worth it. When someone feels the difference, not just sees it.

Backup · Organise · Cull · Track - all in one place.

This week at ShotSafe HQ;

Some new features and updates to share with you all. Each one is refining ShotSafe, and gets us a step closer to a product that should be in every professionals workflow.

📹 - Video: ShotSafe already re-routed any video files from a card to a dedicated video folder, but this week we’ve added a visual bar so you can see its processing video files.

🎯 - Cull Target: you can know define a full target within project types, so that when you’re culling, you can see if you’re on target to meet your target number!

📸 - Metadata sets: also in project types, you can assign a metadata sets to a project, so if you have multiple business setups, you define these once, and the system recalls that data for each type.

Windows! The build has started, and we now have a windows laptop to test on next week, so watch this space non-Mac peeps!! You weirdos!! 🤪

Subscription platform: we’re now live with monthly and annual subscriptions! Founding member rates are still available, but this will end at the end of October.

Trial build: next week we’ll be releasing a trial version, so you can run a couple of projects through ShotSafe and start to wonder why this piece of software has never existed before!!!

Hope you’re all having a great weekend, happy shooting. 🫡

A few ShotSafe details I’m quietly proud of. 👀

The stuff you don’t notice in a demo - but you feel every time you use it:

⚡ Drive status - see your drives are connected, healthy, and fast enough, at a glance.

📊 Progress bar - always know exactly where you’re at, and how many you’ve picked.

🌓 Light / dark toggle - work the way that suits you, day or night.

🚦 Backup status - clear signals showing what’s backed up, and exactly where it lives.

Little things. But little things are the whole job when you’ve been staring at a screen since 6am.

Built by a photographer and product designer - because the details matter.

January 2026, this was just an idea. Now it’s how I back up every wedding I shoot. 📸

I’ve been a wedding photographer for 14 years - and the bit between finishing a shoot and starting the edit was always the part I dreaded. Backing up, organising, culling, praying I hadn’t lost anything. 🤞

So this year I built the fix - @shotsafe.co

Backup / Cull / Organise / Track - all in one platform. 🤌🏼

This clip is a real one - ingesting and backing up a wedding of mine to two drives at once. Not a demo, not a test file. My work, my couple’s day, running through the tool I now use on every shoot.

Six months from an idea to a daily driver. And it flies. ⚡️

It’s live now to founding members. Annual subscription opens 01.10.26
