Come tour my studio with me! This was a labor of love to put together. I wanted to build a cozy space for creativity to flourish, so my studio went through several iterations until I finally settled on this layout. Thank you to my first few rounds of students who helped me test the space for practicality.

I have space for hand building and throwing and have more tools and toys than I know what to do with. I love sharing these in my classes and workshops. What would you create in here? taken in Arlington Virginia - USA by @shouldercatstudio

Throwback to the first Advanced Throwing Workshop I had back in June, where an impressive 52 pots were thrown in 1.5 hours during day one. Not shown is the aftermath of cut up pieces. Day two focused on quality and putting day one feedback to work.

Registration for new classes and workshops is coming soon. Sign up for my newsletter at shouldercatstudio.com to get first notice. Seats are limited to 4 people per class.

In this studio, our cats don’t make biscuits. They make dumplings 🥟. Lida is working overtime to make these mini dumplings for tomorrow’s Summer Courtyard (at Shop Made in DC, Union Market from the 11 AM-5 PM). A few lucky visitors might get one of these minis. Sorry, not sorry, for the cat hair.

Wish I could actually speed through making these shiny iridescent tumblers. These will be available at Summer Courtyard by @cookbookcourtyard and @shopmadeindc at Union Market this Saturday, August 15th from 11 am - 5 pm?

Can’t make it out? I also have pieces available in store at Shop Made in DC at Union Market. Come checkout the amazing other local and small businesses at Summer Courtyard and Shop Made!

From one of our latest date night sessions with Jenny, @thepan and Neil, with lots of handbuilt pieces, finishing off with a quick turn on the wheel. Loving the earthy blues, olive green, and creamy off-whites ❤️. We’re are booked through September currently, but October bookings will open up soon, and maybe a few waitlist spots will open up if we can manage a few other evenings! Feel free to DM for more info! taken in Arlington, Virginia by @shouldercatstudio
