Entre meados e final dos 90s, quando tinha a loja física em Maringá (PR) , sempre entrava em contato com selos e bandas independentes para ter discos n' O Porão.

Um desses contatos bacanas foi com o selo americano Words on Music, de Minneapolis.
Que tinha bandas como Coastal, For Against, Should, The Meeting Places, Fiel Garvie, entre outras.
Grupos que soavam como bandas britânicas e escocesas 80s. Tudo muito bem produzido.

Recebi alguns compactos na época e ainda uso hoje nas discotecagens da festa Vinyland.

Algumas bandas acabaram, outras seguiram. Sem sucesso comercial. Uma das que mais se destacou foi a Should. Que acabou de ter seu primeiro album, "Feed like fishes" (1998), relançado pela Numero, numa edição primorosa, com capa gatefold, vinil duplo verde e vários bonus.

É uma das bandas que melhor assimilou influência do My Bloody Valentine, com belas melodias em vocais sussarrados e muito barulho na guitarra. DISCAÇO que já temos aqui na loja !!!

DETALHE: sigo até hoje disponibiluzando material independente e underground na loja. Curioso é que no começo da loja nos 90s não tinha internet.
Era uma carta pro primeiro contato, um mês para receber resposta, outra carta para fazer pedido... em alguns caso, levava três meses até ter os discos na loja !!! taken in O Porão Discos by @shouldtheband

Yesterday we gave you “Feed Like Fishes” on CD and today we bring it to you on Vinyl for the first time ever, along with 10 period bonus tracks.

Already a Numero fan favorite, this album hits one of our sweet spots quietly occupying that hallowed middle ground between shoegaze, slowcore, and post-rock: 4 sides of minimal pop songs that favor restraint over release, atmosphere over gesture.

The music is unhurried and deliberately unresolved, built from soft distortion, gliding guitars, and melodies that emerge slowly, if at all. “Feed Like Fishes” sounds like motion without destination—private, nocturnal, and slightly dislocated. At nearly double the length from the CD-only debut, it captures a band working instinctively, unconcerned with polish or momentum. The moment you’ve all been waiting for. The first of four Magnolia cd bundles is officially out today with three long awaited classics. Bulk up your cd collection with eccentric delivery and a resonant wall of noise from Detroit shoegazers Majesty Crush, mid-paced fuzzy dream pop from Should, and locked in dynamics from Pot Valiant. Listen as each band finds their way through the shoegaze world, making the sound their own.
