Red Wanting Blue Cam 👓This is one of the very few times that you’ll see me not using the viewfinder - Meta Glasses made that tough, but the sequence was worth it!The band has graciously allowed me to shoot for them several times, so I sort of have a sense of when to go to which part of the stage, and when to change lenses.For the backstage shots, I mostly went with 28-70mm f2 and 70-200mm f2.8 so I could get both tight and full stage/crowd shots.#canonphotography #concertphotographer #pittsburgh #metaglasses by @showstopshots

Wasn’t really sure how to share all of the amazing Rock Boat moments this year, so I decided to split them up, starting off with ones that made us laugh.Definitely not the most technically sound pics, but it’s the moments that matter, right?1) Josh Lovelace ripped off his shirt during a harmonica solo, as one would while shredding so hard2) Megan Slankard listened as Meaghan Farrell told stories about bad pickup lines3) Drew Copeland and Ken Block, of Sister Hazel, came to the stage in their most regal attire4) Bowling for Soup’s Rob Felicetti played his bass between Jaret Reddick’s legs. Jaret cracked up, but kept playing and singing. The looks on their faces are pretty amazing5) Stephen Kellogg and Sam Getz clearly had a ton of fun during a SK6ers (2026 version) show6) Jon Bryant went crowd-level during a Welshly Arms performance of “Roxanne.” Totally unexpected, and we loved it7) Cookie gave the big bass a twirl on stage. Who doesn’t love a good bass twirl?8) Josh Lovelace made his way over to Tyler Burkham and stared deeply into his eyes. Tyler didn’t miss a note, but I have no idea how he kept a straight face9) SK6ers gave Dave Chalfant a birthday surprise during an Atrium set10) Josh Lovelace (again) cracked us up with the looks he gave Bear Rhinehart during a pool-deck set11) Eric Hall and Bobby Yang (Red Wanting Blue) seemed to be having a play-off … violin v. guitar. I think they both won12) Meaghan Farrell somehow swiped Scott Terry’s hat, then presented it back to him after their song13) Someone threw something on stage during a Bowling for Soup set. I think you can see, fairly clearly, what that is 😂14) Jon Foreman (Switchfoot) when on a journey though the crowd during a song and magically appeared on the upper deck with someone’s cowboy hat on his head 15) This dude was all-in on this costume. He even knighted Dexter during the set16) Welshly Arms gifted their keyboardist an incredible shirt, which he continued to wear for the rest of the set17) Will Hoge story time is always a good time18) During an early-ish morning set, Sam randomly pulled out a bottle and poured Jimmy a glass by @showstopshots

For a brief period of time, about 23 years ago, I was the fill-in singer for my buddies’ punk-pop band.This show gave me all the feels because we played “Girl All the Bad Guys Want” all summer long at our drummer’s house. Sadly, he passed away a couple of years later…this song will always remind me of him and those amazing times.Bowling for Soup is an absolute blast! by @showstopshots
