Even though it was the hardest year yet, I am so thankful for all the places and spaces where I am challenged to grow. Montana sure is keeping me on my toes, but it’s the sprinkles of love from back home that helped on those days where it felt extra tough to be alone. Changing jobs, lifestyle, locations, and leaving community and relationships was hard. It has taken a lot of courage to face the unknown, and all I’m asking for is a little bit of snow baby 😝 by @shreddy.betty

Women can design terrain parks. Women can build rail gardens. Women can rip snowcats. Women can shape features and rake lips. Women can hit challenge rails. Women just can.

We took some time to bask in the magic of creating and building the rail garden. An incredible experience for three women, and a historic moment for Stevens Pass. Features were broken. A snowcat sprayed hydrologic fluid and broke down in the middle of our build. And some negativity and nay sayers that got the best of us in our exhausted moments.

But we weren’t defeated. At the end of a grueling two day complete build top to bottom we sat at the entry of our rail garden geeked over what we had accomplished. We weren’t even aware yet that 130 women had signed up for the women’s ride day, capping our capacity, not to mention the dozens of women that showed up unattached because registration was limited. We love you taking up space you rebels!!

As we rolled into a late afternoon park sesh, we didn’t realize that we would stand at the top of midway terrain park with over 80 women. It was epic to see the staging area entirely full as women were bursting out of the rope lines claiming a spot of park territory. We admit that we were not prepared for such a turn out, and we can’t wait to deliver an even better experience next year.

We also know this build wouldn’t have been possible without leaders at Stevens Pass trusting us with this opportunity, our teammates who showed up for us when we needed more hands, the ladies who volunteered their time to hand out merch, and all of our larger park community that supported us.

We also want to thank inspiring organizations like those north of us like @shredcatz @nothinginthepantry and @rudegirlsshop - south of us like @hoodgirlzzz and the home team ladies like @edge_pnw 🧡 And major shoutout to @trollhaugentroll home of Take the Rake, this rebellion is catching fire.
