‘Our first moment’ using soft pastels
.
I don’t know where to start uploading so here’s a quick sketch of the first moment when he opened his eyes to look at this world. The first year after birth is hard but I found my pockets of peace by sketching. I would get 5 mins here and 10 mins there.. I’m obsessed with my baby and I picked up whatever material I had around me. Soft and hard pastels suddenly clicked (I have never used them before) pastels are fast and fun. I have finally moved to toned paper and I have gotten better but I love this sketch so much and I wanted it to be out here. My first ever portrait and his first ever moment ❤️
