After receiving my Teaching Diploma in December 2022 and completing my Arangetram in October 2025, I have graduated once again as a Niruththa Niraignar, with the guidance and my respected Gurus, Smt. Nirainjana Chandru and Smt. Ishwaria Chandru-Hariharan. I’m truly blessed and grateful for the love and support of my family, especially my mother, who made this dream possible.🤍 I look forward to continuing my journey in Bharathanatyam through teaching, choreography, and many more performances to come. ✨ by @shrilasiya

Kalachara 2026: EARTH Samaraasya✨🌎

The Heart That Gives

Earth carries every step we take,
yet never asks for recognition.

She grows our forests,
feeds our families,
and becomes home to every living being.

The tree never eats its own fruit.

The river never drinks its own water.

Nature exists by giving.

Perhaps true greatness is not in what we keep,
but in what we leave behind for others.

Gratitude begins beneath our feet.

Everyone Meet, Subiksha Manivannan 🌺

Subiksha Manivannan is a professionally trained Bharatanatyam dancer and graduate of Kalaimanram Academy of Fine Arts & Yoga under the guidance of my gurus, Smt. Nirainjana Chandru and Smt. Ishwaria Chandru-Hariharan. She completed her teaching diploma in 2021 and her Arangetram on October 5, 2025, after which she was awarded the title of Niruththa Niraignar in recognition of her artistic accomplishment. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Toronto.

She has performed in numerous productions, showcases, and competitions, including Sangath Thamizh, Nritya Pravaham, Choreo Clash, and Angiha Aradhana, while actively engaging in choreography and collaborative work across diverse artistic settings. She is currently a Bharatanatyam teacher and founder of Shri Lasiya Academy of Fine Arts, where she is committed to preserving tradition while cultivating expressive and disciplined training for her students.

In addition to her artistic practice, Subiksha is currently undertaking a summer internship in the corporate sector alongside her academic studies. She continues to refine her craft through performance, teaching, and collaborative exploration, with a commitment to artistic excellence and meaningful contribution to the Bharatanatyam community. ✨

6 months since my arangetram (10.05.25) 🤍

Still feels surreal thinking about that day and the journey it took to get there. So grateful for everyone who supported and believed in me.

This milestone means so much, but it’s only the beginning. Forever thankful ✨

Starting this journey of teaching Bharatanatyam has been a dream I’ve nurtured for a long time. With a deep passion for this classical art and the support of those around me, I’m excited to share the beauty, discipline, and grace of Bharatanatyam with new students. A heartfelt thank you to my Guru Nirainjana Chandru & Ishwaria Chandru, as well as my family & friends for their constant support. Can’t wait to begin this path of teaching and learning! ✨ by @shrilasiya
