Peach colored Megalodon Shark tooth fossil found in a recently exposed ancient ocean floor and prehistoric marine fossil layer than covers underneath much of underground Florida. Whenever a juvenile Megalodon shark tooth like this gets posted here, there are typically some comments where people don’t yet understand that Megalodon Shark teeth can even be much smaller than this as babies. Megalodon shark tooth found scuba diving in the Shark Tooth Capital of the World (Venice, Florida) by @meghunter28! There are a couple ways to clean the coralline algae off the fossils here including a short amount of time in half vinegar and half water, but not too long because the vinegar can discolor the tooth. Also, slowly scraping with a dental pick can help but there are several methods that work for divers. Sometimes, the algae can help protect the tooth from being damaged more as it gets tossed around during storms here. Expecting a lot of new people and non shark tooth hunters to think this was set up just because it was sitting on top. However, shark teeth and Meg teeth absolutely can be sitting on top their fossil layer after being unearthed. Absolute monster of a Megalodon Shark Tooth, measuring in at a rare, very large 6.6 inch size found scuba diving in a hazardous black water river by @joshbshark! This is one of the largest Meg teeth ever featured here on our page.
