I’m at a loss

My dad is gone.

I don’t know what to say. I know I’ll see him again when the Lord comes, I know he’s at peace now - the dementia can’t do any more damage. And I know 80 years is a good run. He taught me so much. He gave me so much. He loved me so much. And I will be forever grateful.

But right now I just miss him.

This year has been one of the most difficult in a long time for me. There have been trials, tribulations, questions, stress, pain, and uncertainty in far too generous proportions. But I praise the Lord that He has been there with me through it all. I praise God that in His mercy & His glory - He has sustained me. I praise our compassionate God that He has not forgotten me not forsaken me. I don’t know what this next year will bring. I don’t know what comes next. I don’t know where God will guide me next - but I know He will be with me every step of the way. That He will be generous. That He will be patient. That He will be loving. And I praise Him that He will always keep His promises. I praise Him that His word is sure and tru. I praise Him for year 42 - and even if this year doesn’t bring all of life’s answers I know it will bring continued evidence of God & His love - and I will lift my voice in praise & thanks for that love because it makes life worth it. taken in Orlando, Florida by @shsquared
