Gosh, it’s so much to say. Four years flew by. From the first day her brother and I dropped her to me refusing to leave. The meets. The probates. the awards. The friendships. All glory belongs to the Lord. God is answering all types of prayers. I have not been to one meet this season at the request of my daughter. She felt that her reaching her goal was no longer possible. But God said no.This morning my prayer was simple: Lord, let her get out of her own head and allow her body to do what it knows. No expectations. No pressure. Just remove the negative thoughts and self doubt. I put a name to the conditions and gave them to God.Fast forward…I’m at 225 Fest. It’s 2:04. I said, “Either it’s going to be a foul or her best yet.” I looked. It was a foul. No other prayer, just faith in my God. I checked again 15 minutes later: 39-10.5. I’m smiling. I look again 15 minutes later, and there it was. There it was—40-8.25.Everyone at 225 saw me jumping and screaming like she had just hit the platform and won first place. But GOD!!! While you may not view this as anything special, for me it is a miracle and God showing His favor.Thank You, Father, for Your grace and mercy. #trackandfield #triplejump #tcutrackandfield #tcutrack #tcu by @shunt_l

On June 2, 2025, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life—I walked away from government service after 29 years in accounting. It was not an easy choice. The retirement options being discussed did not apply to me. To retire, I needed 30 years of service or to be 50 years old. I was 49, with 29 years.This decision did not come lightly. It was made after honest conversations with my family and a sincere, heartfelt talk with the Lord. I turned in my computer and badge, spoke with many people I had not seen since before COVID, and shared quiet goodbyes. But it was the walk to my car—the final steps out—that moved me the most. In that moment, I felt free… mentally and physically. A freedom that is hard to fully describe.Everyone asked the same question: “How are you going to make it?”And my answer never changed: “God’s got me.”Looking back now, I can truly say He has exceeded every need and every desire. Without the firm salary, the benefits, and the security I once knew, God has still shown Himself faithful—again and again. Before the end of 2025, I simply want to say thank You, Lord. Thank You for what You brought me through, for the blessings You have stored upon my business, and for the friends and associates I’ve met along the way. Nothing You have done has been anything short of a miracle.From earning more than my previous salary in just six months, to purchasing my second commercial property, to the many individuals who now seek advice and guidance—I thank You. To the irons sharpening me, challenging me, and helping me grow into a better businesswoman by forcing me to see new perspectives—I thank You too.I cannot list every single blessing, but please know… there have been many.If 2025 was only a preview of what’s to come, then I welcome 2026 with open arms.To each of you reading this, I pray you find the courage to live fully and boldly.
