Luke + Leah — my cherry-on-top wedding this year 🍒

When I started my Perfect Days series, I kept wondering: who are the people who will share my love for cinema through photography?

At first, I found couples drawn to intimate, cinematic home stories. And then one day, Leah and Luke reached out to me for their wedding.

You can’t imagine how happy I was when I learned about their story, their venue — and their love for David Lynch and Guillermo del Toro.

So I asked myself: how do I weave it all together?
The answer was obvious — red.

Red flows through their story like a thread: from cold, spiritual blues inside the church, to deep greens and burning reds at the Love’s Club — where emotion, desire, and honesty fully unfold.

For me, the ending of this story felt deeply inspired by David Lynch — almost like a Twin Peaks moment. I’m not a religious person, but throughout the day I felt a powerful transition — from sacred ritual and tradition
to night, city lights, and a space where truth can exist freely.

This contrast felt spiritual in its own way.

This story is about human love, passion, and belief.
Enjoy the viewing ❤️

What happens when you combine European modernism with the best traditions of cinema?

When I arrived in New York, I began searching for my identity as an artist. What are the characteristics of my photography? What do I want to capture?

I realized that my European roots are my unique feature, but I want to weave them into the fabric of American culture because I want to create for its people.

It didn't take long for me to find the answer in cinema. Where else but in New York can you turn to filmmaking and tell love stories through the lens of beloved films?

Look at the "me" and "mood" highlights for more information and inspiration!

Time flies quickly. Brooklyn, streets with construction. So New York! We're going inside the courthouse, overcoming more steps. This is it! The last doorways before vows and rings are exchanged. It's their reality, interwoven with one of life's biggest moments.

For some, the courthouse is just bureaucracy. For them, it was a celebration of freedom. The freedom to choose this path together, escape into the wild neon energy of the city, and then come right back home again to celebrate exactly how they wanted. 🥂

A wedding isn't a destination; it's only one day in your journey—but it just happened to be such a beautiful day! It's so cool to find a person who will accept all your crazy ideas, eat sushi handrolls, drink boba tea, and with whom you can fully be yourself: childish, sexy, cozy, romantic—and never enough.

If you’ve ever wondered what happens when Bridgerton meets 10 Things I Hate About You, this is it.

When Sofia and Eddie reached out, their vision was clear: honor the rich, 19th-century atmosphere of Maxwell Social, but infuse it with completely unhinged party energy. Classy, graceful, and deeply playful. (Naturally, their first dance was set to "Can't Take My Eyes Off You").

To make it feel truly timeless and grand, we leaned into a very structured, classical group posing.

The Formal Posing: Instead of a casual lineup, I approached the family and wedding party photos like 19th-century paintings. We layered everyone at different heights: on furniture, standing behind chairs, creating depth on the library background.

Curtains & Champagne: We paired moody, romantic light patterns with total playfulness: slipping behind the drapes for secret toasts between vows and the party.

The Energy Shift: As soon as formalities wrapped, the room flipped into pure, electric motion. Cake cutting with berries, flash on the dance floor, and zero holding back.

Timeless elegance on the outside, high-voltage celebration on the inside. 🍸✨

Today we’re talking about my favorite NYC courthouses 😉

When planning a city hall elopement, almost everyone defaults to 141 Worth St in Manhattan. But the Brooklyn Marriage Bureau at 210 Joralemon St is hands down my favorite for chapel interiors — that stained-glass mosaic wall looks incredible on camera.

Both locations have ongoing construction right now, but with the right framing, it’s easy to maneuver around and make the magic happen. Swipe through for my favorite angles, key differences, and honest pros & cons for each.

Let me know in the comments if you’d like to see breakdowns of other courthouses around the city. The Staten Island courthouse is gorgeous too, playful, and wonderfully intimate! 🏛️✨

I fell in love with Fort Greene and Clinton Hill through the eyes of my clients.

Walking those leafy Brooklyn streets leads you right into the quiet, personal worlds built behind closed doors.

Inside one of those homes, A+G build their lives side by side. Working together, researching maps, writing, cooking. They share so many subtle similarities, yet their energies balance each other in the sweetest ways.

While one is emotional, bold, and expressive, the other provides an anchor—a calming presence where you can just disappear into complete bliss and infinite warmth. One creates the feeling of home, nourishing and grounding, while the other gently pushes to experience life fully.

From quiet mornings at home to celebrating on city steps and watching the skyline float by from the ferry deck... documenting the full arc of their story was absolute magic. 🤍

When we're living in the moment...

My in-home sessions are designed to capture the unique personality behind your relationship with a cinematic, editorial touch. From the chaotic, laughing moments behind the scenes to the quiet intimacy of just existing in your space together—this is how we document the real you. by @shusha_point_nyc

Out of billions of people in the world, why do we choose to marry? I've always loved the idea that marriage is simply a promise to be a witness to someone else's life.

When Saskia and Kyle reached out, they wanted exactly that: an artistic witness to their celebration. They are both artists, so we ignored tradition. We ended up with a beautiful, messy blend of Gustav Klimt’s golden romanticism, Wes Anderson’s quirky symmetry, and raw New York reality.

This is Part 1 of their two-day story: the daily routine, the getting ready moments, and the journey to the Brooklyn Marriage Bureau. Stay tuned for Part 2! 🎬👇

A study in red and ritual 🍒

Luke and Leah at the Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral. A day that moved from the sacred silence of Gothic arches to the freedom of the dance floor.

Most "Perfect Days" photoshoots take place at home, but Rhea & Vir’s story challenged me to find that same cinematic magic in the wild heart of NYC.

This post is about the process behind these key pictures — how we planned it, how we nailed it, and how "cute accidents" helped us in the end.

Scroll through and enjoy the view.

"Is this for real?" — they asked themselves. "Are we finally breaking the rhythm of the circles?"

When a deep friendship becomes something strong, complicated, but fun. Rhea and Vir were best friends for many years until they realized there was something more growing within them.

Passing by an 'Old Friend' booth—a title they had worn for years—not knowing it was about to change. At the same time, they cherished what they already had and kept their dating life private. It became a beautiful, sneaky romance.

As they are both architects, it’s no surprise that the Guggenheim museum's curves became a leitmotif for their story — a recurring theme of becoming whole. Standing between the windows, this was a "composition of noticing."

They break the architectural rhythm—just as their new feelings broke the steady routine of a years-long friendship, pulling them together like a single thread.

While their romance grew warmer throughout the story, I captured their "sneaky" phase: framing them sitting on the back of a bus sharing headphones and choosing pastries through the glass at Breads Bakery, dissolving into the corners of the city crowds.

And then, the realization: this is for real. No more hiding; they are ready to step into the light.

Changing into traditional attire, this is their debut. Whimsical and candid shots on empty, dark streets like still frames from a Bollywood movie — they run, play, dance, and celebrate their love.

This chapter is coming to an end, but their story keeps going, and new beginnings will be celebrated.

This year I photographed so many courthouse weddings — and Amitabh & Sam’s was definitely one of the most fun ones.

At the courthouse, they were joined by three friends — and from the very first minutes it was so clear why there’s a phrase that says: “Tell me who your friends are, and I’ll tell you who you are.”

Everyone was incredibly charismatic, joyful, and warm. We laughed nonstop. Moments like this always remind me how much I love my work — and the people I get to share these days with. Very emotional, haha.

Okay, back to the story.

After the ceremony, we made our way through the subway to Fulton Street and then took the ferry to Dumbo. The sun was glowing over the river, and the downtown skyline looked completely different from the water.

We danced with the Brooklyn Bridge in the background, wandered around, and hid for a bit in the Max Family Garden — one of my favorite quiet spots in the city.

Then they went off to celebrate with their family and friends, and I went home with a heart full of sunshine and that familiar feeling of being ready to keep saving memories for people 🤍
