‼️Activists in Vienna, Austria targeted the office of insurance company Chubb.
In an internationally coordinated action activists took aim at three of the world’s worst insurers in fossil fuels and arms this morning in Paris, Hamburg, Zurich, Vienna and London. They smashed windows and threw paint at the offices of controversial insurers Zurich, Chubb and Aspen, as a warning to all financial players gathering in Davos for the World Economic Forum this week.

The activists condemn all financial support to the genocide in Gaza and climate breakdown. They focused their attacks on Zurich, a Swiss insurer and WEF partner that underwrites Shell, Chevron and arms shipment company Maersk. Activists also hit the offices of Chubb and Aspen, which started insuring Israel’s main arms provider, Elbit Systems, after its last insurers discontinued coverage due to activist pressure in December.

By providing insurance for Elbit Systeme, Allianz is DIRECTLY ENABLING the production of leraeli weapone which are battle-tested on Palestinians. Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Austria, like many other European countries, is seeking to modernize its army and increase its defense budget. In 2024, Austria awarded defense contracts to Israeli companies valued at several hundred million euros.In February 2025 Austria announced it will increase its defense expenditures to 2% of the country’s GDP annually and will take part in the European Sky Shield Initiative,in which it plans to spend €4 billion on the acquisition of long-range air defense missiles by 2028. After two years this page is changing. In 2024 Palästinaforum was born out of the need to continue what was started at the Palästinakongress in Vienna. I admit it was partly an act of defiance because the Palestine movement in Austria is difficult to navigate. But the more work went into this navigation and a constant struggle to collaborate, the more I realized that we don’t need another Palestine page in this country. What we need is intersectional activism. Connection. Looking outside of a bubble. I’m so lucky I found other activists who joined me in intersectional work. Maria Bissan, Mara, @rogerusbyz and @pianowithrobyn @_anti_christine_ @korafromthecore, to mention a few. Not all stayed, some followed their own journeys, but I’m thankful for each and every one of them. And I am incredibly thankful to @andrewfeinstein and the team of @shadowworldinvestigations who taught me so so so much about activism, about antimilitarist work, about teamwork and kindness in a very unkind world. And to get things done despite everything. Collaborating with them is the honour of my life.

So today we are becoming something else. It’s not a farewell to Palestine. Palestine will always be at the core. But it’s an opening in different directions. A decision to take space and occupy squares. Looking forward to seeing you there! by @shutelbitdown

Rotax is complicit in the gen0cide in Gaza and in every war that the Hermes 900 drone, this “larger, deadIier version” of the Hermes 450, that is “capable of carrying more weap0ns and remaining airborne for far longer”. Rotax leadership has claimed its engines are intended solely for civilian purposes. Upon inquiry, however, the company confirmed it has knowingly supplied engines for years, through intermediaries, to major arms companies including Elbit Systems, IAI and General Atomics.

I asked Andrew Feinstein to pick one person mentioned in the book who he’d like to directly confront and this was his answer.

As national security minister, Ben-Gvir is in charge of Israel’s police and prison system, which rights groups have condemned as a network of “torture camps” for Palestinians.
He was also the driving force behind the draconian death penalty law passed by the Knesset in March 2026, which has been condemned by the UN and rights groups as racist and one of the most extreme death penalty laws in the world. by @shutelbitdown
