I had the opportunity to participate in the CIBC Run for the Cure alongside my sorority sisters. I’m extremely grateful to have been able to take part in raising awareness, and I’m proud of @wlualphaphi for raising an incredible $6252 in support of Canadians impacted by breast cancer.

Although I was not able to join my team back home I was proud to represent the Kell’s Angels from Waterloo 🩷

The link is still open for donations until December 31st. All support is greatly appreciated https://support.cancer.ca/site/TR/RunfortheCure/RFTC_NW_odd_?pg=team&team_id=558091&fr_id=31108 by @shylee.in.kin

SWEET POTATO BROWNIES 🍠🩷

🩵As someone who isn’t the greatest baker, these are foolproof and beginner friendly. I had to modify mine into muffins because I didn’t have a good sized pan.

Instructions 💜

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper.
2. Cook the sweet potato until very soft (bake, steam, or microwave), then peel and mash until smooth.
3. Add the eggs, maple syrup, and vanilla, and whisk until combined.
4. Stir in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until no dry streaks remain.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
7. Bake for 25–30 minutes (15-20 for muffins), or until the center is just set and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
8. Let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 20–30 minutes before cutting—they’ll firm up as they cool. by @shylee.in.kin
