In the crinkled lines around their eyes, a thousands stories of the hills are told. These are faces sculpted by mountain winds and warmed by a resilient sun. To look upon a Nepali smile is to witness a quiet dawn breaking over the peaks—unrehearsed, profoundly kind, and reflecting a timeless warmth that no altitude can chill. taken in Nepal Himalaya by @si_ullie

Hearts joined as one, in mindful grace,We send compassion to every place. A prayer for Nepal, where mountains stand,May healing balance restore the land. We turn our thoughts to Indonesia’s shore, Where elements clash and waters roar. Through shaking earth and sliding ground, May peace and shelter now be found. For all sentient beings, near and far, Shaken by nature or the fires of war—Where forest fires fiercely burn, And rivers flood at every turn. Where smoke and ash obscure the skies, May Bodhicitta and hope arise. We light this candle, a steady flame, In Avalokiteshvara’s compassionate name. May suffering cease, may anger clear, To dispel all darkness, grief, and fear. Bound by the Dharma, standing side by side, May boundless love be our universal guide. 🕯️☸️✨#HealTheWorld #PrayForNepal #PrayForIndonesia #Bodhicitta #CompassionIn Action by @si_ullie

Years ago, a simple monk, Most Venerable Dr. Delthara Gnanananda Thero, and a man with a massive heart, Mr. Krishan Silva, shared a dream with me: to uplift the less fortunate in Sri Lanka.
Last year, I flew to Sri Lanka to see their vision in action. Today, I stood at the prestigious Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo, witnessing 400 beautiful souls graduate with their Diplomas—an opportunity given to them entirely for free. 🎓❤️I couldn’t help but cry during my opening speech. Looking out at those radiant, happy faces and proud parents—many of whom thought this day was financially impossible—completely broke me in the most beautiful way. From free education to a “pay-as-you-can” campus cafe, this is what living Buddhacitta (compassion) in real life looks like.As the teachings remind us, generating happiness for others is where our own true joy is born. Thank you for teaching me the true meaning of selfless love.
“All the joy the world contains has its source in wishing happy outcomes for others.”

Today we are celebrating the first day of the most sacred time in Tibetan Buddhism.
#spirituality #spiritualjourney #pilgrimage #beingpeaceful #awaken Saga Dawa is the “month of merits” in Tibetan Buddhism, celebrating the birth, enlightenment, and passing (parinirvana) of the Buddha, peaking on the 15th day (Saga Dawa Duchen). Often coinciding with Vesak, this holy month involves increased merit-multiplying rituals, including vegetarianism, butter lamp offerings, and charity.
Differences in Tradition:While Vesak is generally observed on the full moon in May by Southeast Asian traditions, Tibetan Buddhists observe the entire fourth lunar month (Saga Dawa), with the 15th day being equivalent to Vesak/Buddha Purnima. taken in Dzongsar Buddhist Research Center by @si_ullie

The big day has finally arrived for me to be a fully ordained monk in Namdroling Monastery in Mysore, Byalakupe, Karnataka, India.

I am very grateful to have reached up to this point in the path and still keeping up with the progress and process. I am “home”!

“The world exists only when I do not”

A Gelong (Tibetan: དགེ་སློང་, Wylie: dge slong; Sanskrit: bhikshu) is a fully ordained male monastic in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. A Gelongma (dge slong ma) is the female equivalent, or fully ordained nun.

Taking the Gelong vows represents the highest level of monastic ordination, committing the practitioner to a lifelong path of strict ethical discipline, renunciation, and service to the Dharma.

One must generally have received the novice vows (Getsul) before taking the Gelong vows.
Ordainer: Gelong vows are usually conferred by a high-ranking lama. Thank you Khenchen Khenpo Pema Sherab for giving me the opportunity to receive the two honor of Getsul & Gelong vow. I am indeed forever grateful 🙏🙏🙏🙏

My full on gratitude to my dear teacher Lopon @dorji132 among others Khenpos, Lamas and monks brothers such as Khenpo Sonam Tsewang, Khenpo @lekitandin. Lama Jigme Gaser, Lama @palchen.dorjee , Gelong @konchok_choephel , Gelong @tshewang___la , Anila @shedrup_wangmo , @anila @chonam54 and many more whom i can’t possibly mention one by one here. Thank you for all your loving kindness and compassion throughout the entire process.

Thank you my younger brothers from the past to come in to this life again as my Gelong monks brothers, Gelong @peesoo506 & Gelong @peecee61299 , and taking the vow together.

Last but not least to @aryanata , @si_ullie , @ardiantoid for accompanying me all the way from indonesia to India.
Also my big gratitude to you everyone everywhere whom I know have supported me in this journey. You know who you are. THANK YOU 🙏🙏🙏#spirituality #spiritualjourney #cominghome #awaken #beingpeaceful taken in Namdroling Monastery, Golden Temple, Kushal Nagar by @si_ullie

Phobjikha Valley, located in central Bhutan at 3,000 meters, is a vast, U-shaped glacial valley renowned for its pristine nature and as the winter home of endangered Black-necked Cranes. It is a tranquil, high-altitude wetland boasting the 16th-century Gangtey Monastery, making it a hub for birdwatchers, hikers, and spiritual seekers.

Around 400–600 cranes migrate from the Tibetan Plateau to this valley from October to March, celebrated annually with a crane festival.
A major Nyingmapa school monastery overlooking the valley.
It is a protected area, offering scenic trails like the Gangtey Nature Hike and rich in biodiversity.
Popular activities include birdwatching, hiking, cultural tours of surrounding villages, and experiencing traditional Bhutanese homestays.
While stunning year-round, late autumn to early spring (especially November to February) is ideal for spotting the migrating cranes.
It is roughly a 4–5 hour drive from Thimphu.
