You taste whisky very differently when you’ve seen where it begins — the stills, the casks, the people and the patience behind every bottle.

I honestly didn’t think I’d enjoy Lowland whisky as much as I did. Glenkinchie has a much lighter, softer and more floral character than the bolder Scotch styles I usually prefer.

And getting to pull a dram straight from an aged cask was probably my favourite part of the visit. There’s something pretty cool about tasting it straight from the barrel.!🥃

Also, Glenkinchie distillery is widely celebrated in the whisky industry for housing one of the largest pot stills in Scotland. (30,963 L Wash Still and 20,998 L Spirit Still.) 🤯 [Check slide 6] by @sibdoesitall

Postcard City Circles is an invite-only private circle of discerning travellers, brought together by curiosity, cultural appetite and a shared desire to go deeper: beyond destinations, into stories, people and ideas.

At the heart of each Circle is a storyteller: someone with a world to share, a perspective to open, a craft to reveal.
This evening, Chef Rahul and Sibasis shared a celestial story: where the drinks moved through the phases of the moon: crescent, half-lit, full, and fading into darkness. The food and its flavors waxed and waned alongside the cocktails.

Marc Lemy, Consul General of France, generously brought the spirit of France to our table, sharing exquisite French wines and their stories. The evening ended in a playful French wine quiz, with beautiful bottles as prizes: a little taste of France, shared with warmth and joie de vivre.
