Thankful to have spent the past three weekends up north at the “Up Up High House” with my family and their friends. It’s been awhile since I posted a photo of my boy. I wouldn’t have him if it weren’t for KC at @rezdogssd @kclightshine. A few days after bringing Ogden home, he wouldn’t eat and was extremely lethargic. I took him to the vet and he tested positive for parvo, a deadly virus with a low survival rate. After spending a week at the vet, he got the fluids he needed and finally started eating the ground beef and rice mix that I had made for him. During this process, I was devastated. I thought I was about to lose my guy, but he made it. Today is KC’s birthday, the founder of Lightshine Canine Rescue. This post is dedicated to her and her team. The work and dedication they have towards these animals cannot be matched. They have worked with the tribe to extract these animals from the harshest conditions. Happy Birthday KC Willis and thank you for everything. 💚 by @sickeydickey

It’s crazy to think that I adopted Ogden Charles 6 years ago.
He came to me from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.
I picked him up in Longmont, CO and brought him back to Denver.
He wouldn’t eat or drink. I soon found out that he was infected with parvovirus.
It was one of hardest things to go through.
The vet professionals were doubtful, but he made it.
My heart goes out to KC and her team at @lightshine_canine not only giving me my best friend, but saving his life. 💚 by @sickeydickey
