The Star of Bethlehem Guides You, but You Are Not a Wise Man by Kayla Trenge
They sit inside the ornate man made structure derived from purity.
He gave living things the strength, creativity, heart, and soul  to make use of the nature around them.
To create stained glass windows,  so that the sun’s illumination could bathe them in color  of undeniable proof that His light shined down upon them.
And though the warmth of this dyed river washes over them,  They ignore it.
Turning towards words that God never said,  seeking answers that already encapsulate them,  If only they looked up towards the sky...
So God creates wind and rain that pummel the Church; trying with all His might to tear the roof off, to remind all of His creations that his light is always there.
I wonder, Does He regret guiding man to create a house of stained glass as He claws off shingles in small clusters, One by One, through years of storms? As He peels back the thin slabs that now stand between Him and His creations, obscuring the one thing He built the Church for people to observe?
If they looked up to the sky, would they recognize that there is no purpose in looking for answers? That life is simple.
Because humanity is only here to experience it for a short while... Hatred and judgement alchemized from the words in their texts are the roofs that stand between unity and peace and beauty and LOVE.
I wonder, does God have regrets like you and me?
Did God ever even read?

Waltzing my little haunted heels to @icehouse.diy THIS THURSDAY (8/20). I’m on at 7pm! I’ll be playing a new piano song (soon to be recorded), so if you like fresh music of cathartic lyrics stuck to haunting guitar and piano bones, this is the place to be on Thursday night.

I have played the IceHouse a handful of times with bands, but to be playing it alone is a huge milestone for my solo music career. I’m so stoked to be sharing a stage with @mshoneyband and @hownowkarlblau Come share the moment and write a note in my guest book at the MERCH table, where I will also have merch.🤭 (YIPPEE!!!)
