The table is where so many of the wedding details finally come together.

The linen, the glassware, the menus, the place cards, the cutlery. Individually they’re small details, but together they’re what gives the table its personality.

At this year’s Open Day, @houseoftailored, @sideserve and @paperandinkstudioaus will each be bringing their part of that picture.

The House of Tailored brings the textiles, using fabric to add softness, movement and texture throughout the space, from the tables through to the larger styling details around them.

Side Serve takes care of the tableware, glassware, cutlery and finishing pieces, giving you plenty of scope to play with colour, shape and texture.

Paper + Ink takes care of the stationery from invitations through to signage, seating plans and the personalised details on the day.

If tablescapes are one of the parts of wedding planning you’re most excited about, this is definitely one to spend some time exploring.

Still looking for somewhere to hold the end-of-year party?

We still have a limited number of dates available across November and December at Ambrose Estate for Christmas parties, corporate events, birthdays and end-of-year celebrations.

Keep it relaxed with a cocktail-style event, live music out on the deck and plenty of room for everyone to mingle. Or go seated with a full table setup, space for a dance floor and DJ, a three-course dinner and drinks for a more formal feel.

The space gives you plenty of flexibility to shape the event around your group, whether that’s drinks and music into the evening or a sit-down celebration with everyone around the table.

If you’re still trying to lock in a November or December date, send our events team an enquiry and we’ll let you know what’s still available.

This week on the making bench it’s been all about the Gemini bowls. Take a look inside my studio for part one of the making process of these bowls.

Each bowl is handbuilt over form molds by Sabrina’s own hands, made from a speckled clay sourced and milled in Western Australia. The clay is rolled, cut to a template, played over forms and shaped. The freeform rims are pinched and shaped finger by finger, leaving a quiet imprint of my own fingers in every edge. The rims and body are wiped away to reveal more of the speckle, left to dry, then fired. Come back for part 2 of the glazing process.

A little look back at today’s Wedding Open Day 🤍

Thank you to everyone who came down, explored the venue, met our suppliers and spent part of their Saturday with us.

And a HUGE thank you to the incredible suppliers who helped bring every space to life! Our coordinators have been working nonstop behind the scenes, pulling together every detail and making sure some of Perth’s best wedding suppliers were there to help create something really special.

One of the best parts of working in this industry is getting to work alongside people who share the same vision 🤍

So when Sabrina asked me to be part of the launch of Homemade, it felt like a natural fit.

For me, food is never an afterthought. I think about how the food, the table, the ceramics, the styling, the conversation and the occasion work together to create one cohesive experience - food that belongs in the setting and the moment it’s being served.

That’s the approach I bring to my dining experiences, private dinners, workshops and celebrations.

When people invest in an experience, the food shouldn’t simply be something placed on the table. It should be part of the story.

Congratulations Sabrina on the launch of Homemade. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing first-hand just how beautifully food sits within your pieces, and I can’t wait to continue bringing them to my tables and experiences 🤍
