October wouldn’t be complete without embracing the season when the veil feels its thinnest.

Join us October 17 (1-6pm)& 18 (1-5pm) for Beyond the Veil: Diviner’s Gathering, a weekend of divination, fortune-telling, and mystical insight. Take a leap of faith and discover what the cards, stars, crystal ball, or loteria may have in store for you.

Our talented readers are multi-disciplinary, each offering their own unique menu of divination services.

This will be a walk-up event, so no appointments are necessary—simply stop by, choose your reading, and see what awaits you beyond the veil! @wayfinder_ @gatoslocosbakery @theemeraldacorn @richardmoen @k2girlface taken in Sideshow Gallery by @sideshowgallerychicago

🎃 October is always the most exciting time of year at Sideshow Gallery, and this year feels especially magical as we celebrate our lucky 13th anniversary!

This month is absolutely jam-packed for us with workshops, markets, pop-ups, a divination gathering, ritual circle, and a very special Houdini séance!

We’re especially thrilled to be offering Tintype Photography for the very first time on 10/11 with Hunky Dory, who will be bringing this beautifully haunting and historic art form to Sideshow during the spookiest time of year.

We’re also delighted to be vending at two incredible markets this month: Windy City Witch Fest at the Irish American Heritage Center and Dead City Oddities Market at Epiphany Center for the Arts.

This Halloween, on the 100th anniversary of Harry Houdini's death, we invite you to an intimate, two-hour séance experience. It will be an elegant evening of history, intrigue, and communication with the beyond!

October at Sideshow is shaping up to be one wonderfully witchy, weird, and unforgettable month. So come spend it with us, your favorite local witches! taken in Sideshow Gallery by @sideshowgallerychicago

Today’s 10/10 portal aligns with the new moon in Libra, creating a beautiful symbolic moment for setting intentions, welcoming new beginnings, and manifesting the life your soul desires.

Libra invites us to call in harmony, love, abundance, beauty, and balance while releasing the patterns that keep us from becoming our highest selves.

So if you’re planning to do something special tonight and need guidance, ritual tools, self-care goodies, or treasure hunt for something truly unique, we’re here for you! 🌚 taken in Sideshow Gallery by @sideshowgallerychicago

Join us for a rare gathering few will ever witness…

This Halloween, on the 100th anniversary of Harry Houdini's death, we invite you to an intimate, two-hour séance experience. It will be an elegant evening of history, intrigue, and communication with the beyond.

Your host, @mayfieldmagic , will welcome you with the story of Houdini's remarkable life and lasting legacy. All while you enjoy hors d'oeuvres and your choice of prosecco or a non-alcoholic refreshment.

The evening unfolds:
✨️ A personal one-card tarot reading to attune you to the night's energy.
✨️ Use of a handmade mahogany spirit board.
✨️ A guided séance in Houdini's memory, using genuine spiritualist tools. A spirit trumpet, a large crystal ball, a tambourine, and much more.
✨️ A pendulum crafted from a real handcuff key.

Every guest takes home:
✨️ A miniature commemorative wooden planchette marking the centennial
✨️ The handcuff key pendulum, yours to keep
✨️ A souvenir program detailing the evening and Houdini's history

Just on the other side of Venus’ retrograde, I’ll be teaching a class here in Chicago. Join me in an investigation to deepen your understanding of how planets show up as archetypal dieties in a birth chart.
