Years of hard work with and for an old friend and true legend @retiredcheney.
I started hanging out with and nerding out about music and consulting Mike in recording and mixing techniques over 10 years ago. His passion for the craft has become an awe inspiring journey watching him evolve from a tiny attic recording rig on an ancient pro tools system to building (literally from the ground up as in built the building) a beautiful and amply equipped professional grade recording facility. I lended my expertise and obsession for audio, recording and efficient/flexible systems for what feels like the past decade - helping Mike select almost every piece of equipment from the console down to the cables. Its been years of learning, hard work and fun!

The result is a fully analog front end for recording and mixing high quality audio - with real time effects, zero latency monitoring and a robust signal processing/routing toolkit for a fast and efficient workflow. Record up to 32 audio sources into Pro Tools and then flip the tracks back onto the board for mixing and summing on an @sslaudio SuperAnalog console flanked with goodies from favorites like @amsneveltd @thisisapiaudio @empiricallabs @dbx_pro @lexicon_pro @eventideaudio
@stamaudio @blacklionaudio @heritage_audio_ @tkaudio.se @avidtechnology @antelope_audio @dangerousmusic and more - with new additions on the way too! (As soon as i finish building them) 😉 @jlmaudio

-Filling up and organizing this patchbay/interface rack with @retiredcheney at The Glen! Designed custom cables and did the patchbay layout for an SSL Console that’s on its way to the studio soon. I’ve consulted him on most of the equipment in the studio - and installed everything so that it all functions properly. Ive known Mike for about 15 years and I have loved seeing him go from a little attic studio in Dorchester to designing and building a house around a world class studio space. When youre really passionate about something you dont let anything come between you and your dreams - and Mike proves this to me time and again… Stay tuned, it just keeps getting better!
