Our favorite chapter yet—
I feel like every time max and I get behind the camera I learn so much, so I like us to do it often. It’s such a human thing to see photos of yourself and the people you love and feel moved in a way. It can be hard to notice all the beauty in your life when you’re in it, but when you zoom out and see it in a beautiful frame it produces some sort of gratitude and perspective. I love that 💛 I’m so thankful for this season with my love, all it’s teaching us and all the ways we’re growing. by @sidneykaarre

As Max and I took communion and worshiped at the altar, one thought flooded my mind and filled me with emotion: 2,000 years ago a man died for us and then rose from the dead, and still to this day, on the biggest day of our lives, it’s all we can do to keep glorifying Him. His blood still saves and His life is still changing ours. He is alive.

I used to live a life where Jesus could only touch parts of my life: my Sundays, my week at church camp, my Bible study. He so lovingly and patiently taught me that I must give Him all of me. That He wants to use my best and my worst for His glory. Surrendering everything to Him is the best decision I’ve ever made and a more fulfilling life than I ever thought I could live. I’ve had the privilege of watching Him do the same in Max’s life. This beautiful day was no exception, we just wanted Jesus to be the center and be honored and loved and glorified. And it was the best day we ever could have imagined.

I’m completely overwhelmed at the thought that Max and I’s wedding and marriage is only a glimpse of what is to come with Christ. The beauty and joy and holiness and glory of a wedding is no more than this earth’s best example of what it will be like when we meet Jesus face to face. The intimacy and love and comfort that fills marriage is a sliver of the relationship we can have eternally with Jesus. Every earthly analogy, example, and word will fall so short of the true future of those who are in Christ.

He is, and always will be, our first love and our last. Max and I’s lives and marriage is not eternal, but Jesus is. He offers hope long after marriage. He’s given us this amazing gift as we run the race to Him. by @sidneykaarre
