Olá,

Our short film „simi wallpamakuna“ („Language Models“) will have its world premiere at @curtasviladoconde in the Experimental Competition.

„Afraid, discouraged to speak. Destituted in writing, historically undone. „simi wallpamakuna“ (“Language Models”) considers the eclipse, extermination and re-emergence of languages through Ojibwe, Quechua, Michif, Chinese, Farsi, and Arabic. Starting from the Chinese Massacre in Rock Springs, Wyoming, the film considers language models under the shadow of colonial power.“

„Am Tag nach ihrer Verfolgung wird Emilia Galotti gefunden. Claudia und Orsina treffen sich. Ein Brief muss geschrieben werden. Ihr Gespräch ist unsicher, ihre Willen prallen aufeinander. Was geschehen ist, will sich nicht erzählen lassen. Die Zeit vergeht. Zwischen ihren Absichten bleibt nur Raum. Frei adaptiert nach Lessings Emilia Galotti.“

Our short film „Pilote“ will be part of Quantum Intimacies at @millennium_film in NYC, curated by @michelesaintmichel. It will be screened June 20 at 8PM alongside the work of many other filmmakers. The films will be simulcasted online.

„Pilote convenes two eighteenth century sensibilities inside a desert field stripped to glare and wind. A scorched trunk and scattered glass hold the frame while a voice reads fragments from Émilie du Châtelet on felicity and time. The charred tree is partitioned in 14 shots in the arid continuum. Baroque sounds by Jean-Féry Rebel saturate the space, binding voice and landscape.“

From the 19th to the 25, poets, artists, and filmmakers will be showing their work. We will be there. Do come!

Eine Reihe farbiger Autos, daneben der Feind, das Wort. Erst tauchen die Farben auf, dann die Pauken. Die Farben werden von der Linie versklavt, die zur Schrift wird. Der Kampf um ihre Wiederherstellung bricht aus. Inspiriert von Yves Kleins unproduziertem Szenario „La Guerre.”

A row of colored cars, next to them the enemy, the word. First the colors emerge, then the timpani. Color is enslaved by the line that becomes writing. The battle to restore color breaks out. Inspired by Yves Klein’s unproduced scenario “La Guerre.”
