I have so much respect for coaches who can walk away from a season & write a post immediately. As we sit here in June you can see that I am clearly not one of them. This season has taken me some time to process & seniors like these have made me want to push “See ya later” off a little longer.

I know there were no rings but I wish you could see the hard work, love, grit & fight that went into each of these moments I’ll carry for the rest of my life. This team is so special. And not just the special that you hear every coach say—truly special— the push til you break, love til the end, laugh til you fall over type of special. God knew exactly what he was doing when he brought them all to Dahlonega. Thank you, girls, for making this run the time of our life. What a privilege 🫶🏼

As for the seniors- Nighthawk fans let me take you down memory lane for a second… When these seniors were just baby freshman we had to make a last minute schedule change in September. We had to up their 1st tourney & leave a week earlier than planned to play in Indiana…. I think we maybe took last place. We played so bad and I was thinking to myself, “What have I done?! People are going to think I was crazy bringing this class in!” And they probably did. But I wasn’t. That 21-22 year we STRUGGLED, no question. We were on the bottom half of the leaderboard more times than we weren’t. But day by day and event by event, they learned more & out-worked the girl in the mirror from the day before. Bit by bit they grew up. They broke records, they made history, became a top 15 team in the country, & they helped build one of the best cultures in college golf. They believed in the process & they always stayed true to the meaning of the NG. It was always bigger than them & they exemplified that daily. I’ll never be able to thank them enough.

LP, Ellie & J, your sacrifice and unwavering drive to be the best will never be forgotten nor taken for granted. I will miss everything the 3 of you brought to this program and to practices but I know I won’t have to miss your friendship because you get me forever! Thank you for leaving it better than you found it.

I’ll love you forever! Go be great!
