thank you gymnastics for an unbelievably incredible 12 years ❤️‍🩹

Unfortunately, I am retiring due to a partially torn achilles injury. through it all, i have nothing but gratitude and love for all the lessons, friendships, and memories i gained from this sport. how lucky am i to have something so hard to say goodbye to 🫶🏽

gymnastics,
i fell in love with you 11 years ago and my heart will never stop loving you. it’s been one hell of a ride.

to my club coaches at atlantic coast gymnastics,
thank you for taking in little girl with big dreams and helping me turn them into reality.

to the coaches at texas woman’s university,
i will always be grateful for the experiences i had and the lessons I learned in my first 2 years. thank you for giving me the opportunity to make a name for myself and for welcoming me with open arms.

to the wvu gymnastics staff,
i don’t have the words to express my gratitude to you all. thank you for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime and taking a chance on me. i wouldn’t dream of a more amazing coach staff to take this journey with. you all have shown me nothing but love and support throughout my personal life and gymnastics career. i will forever be proud and lucky to have been apart of something so special. the wvu gymnastics program will always hold a special place in my heart. coach jason butts will always have a special part in this crazy ride. i will only strive to become half the person you are; to care, to love gymnastics, to be passionate, to be dedicated, and most importantly, to have trust in good people. i can’t think of a better person to model true excellence.

nanay, tatay, and ate,
how will i ever repay your sacrifice? you dedicated time, effort and money for me to follow my dreams. the road to college wasn’t easy but I couldn’t have done it without you.

erin,
we did it! i hope you are smiling down on me from heaven. you have been by my side through all my successes and were always there to pick me up through all my mistakes. you are irreplaceable; there is no gymnastics if there was no you. making you proud was never about winning but instead becoming the best version of myself to honor your life.

saying goodbye to gymnastics is a sad but inevitable reality. while my journey to college gym has been unique and filled with ups and downs, i wouldn’t have it any other way.

i’m not done yet. i am excited to announce that i will be using my redshirt eligibility to take a 5th year elsewhere while pursuing my masters degree. taken in West Virginia University by @sierramuns
