@paponmusic took my request looked me in the eye and sang moh moh ke dhaage live. it has been my mother’s favourite song for years and to share this moment with her felt so surreal. the whole ensemble was so therapeutic it felt like a large choir coming together in sync. by @sifarnaama

on pretending to sleep longer

i sometimes pretend to sleep longer so that my mother can feel like she has the first hour of the day to herself. with her cup of tea in hand as she stares down the horizon. as the quietness envelops her she bathes in peace. her face lit with it. she will spring into action the moment she senses i am awake. it is a live demonstration of her priorities shifting in motion. she doesn’t know i see the girl in her every morning i dont tell her i marvel it. maybe some day i will.
