learn to code by building, not by watching another tutorial.

most people “learn to code” for a year and still can’t ship a simple website. they buy the course, watch the 12-hour roadmap, hoard 40 tabs, then open the editor and freeze.

because watching someone code isn’t coding. shipping one ugly real thing is.

here’s what changed: in 2026 you can build almost anything for basically $0.

→ claude as your senior dev in a tab
→ supabase for a free database + auth
→ vercel for free hosting
→ resend for free emails

the tools stopped being the excuse.

so stop studying and go build something real:
• a website for the cafe down your street
• your family business, finally online
• someone on reddit begging for help, do it for free

you’ll hit a wall in 10 minutes. good, that’s the job. get stuck, ask claude the exact problem, fix it, repeat. that loop is how you actually learn to code and build a SaaS.

do it 3 or 4 times and something clicks. you stop copying code you don’t understand and start thinking in systems.

you don’t need permission, a degree, or money. just a tab open and something to build.

save this so you actually start. 📌
comment “BUILD” and i’ll send you the exact free stack + 3 beginner projects to ship this week.

Joseph Lee’s SaaS does $250K/month. But forget the big number, here’s how he gets the first 100 paying customers (do this and thousands follow):

1. Go where demand already exists. Comparison pages vs every competitor, free ungated tools, SEO for the exact workflows buyers search. Free tools alone = 20% of his traffic.
2. Do things that don’t scale. He built founders free demos on Reddit, in public, one by one. Everyone watching wanted their own.
3. Be everywhere. No magic channel in 2026, so he stacked SEO, referrals, and building in public until buyers couldn’t miss him.

Talk to 100 real buyers before you write code. Then move fast, speed is your only edge over the big guys.

Joseph Lee took Supademo from $0 to $1M ARR in 16 months. No funding, two founders.

Before that, his seafood marketplace hit $3M in revenue, then COVID erased 95% of it overnight. So he rebuilt with a different playbook. Here’s the whole thing, one step per slide:

Pick the market before the idea. A great founder in a dead market grinds forever. Get on the rising one.

Validate on real calls, not likes. He ran 100+ and walked away with letters of intent before writing a line of code.

Ship lean. Two people and $0 got 200 features out in 24 months. The constraint was the advantage.

Then the growth stack:

do the unscalable stuff yourself (Reddit value, done-for-you demos, every support ticket)

test one channel a month, then stop / continue / scale

product-led SEO carried it. One free tool pulls 12,000 visitors a week, and he hit $500K without a dollar on ads

charge more. He raised price 3x to 5x and churn went down

keep churn under 5%, because retention is what compounds to a million

Comment SAAS and I’ll send you the full breakdown.

I know a indie dev in India, Bhanu, who runs a SaaS doing $13k+ a month. He’s never paid for an ad.

He also kind of hates marketing. So he does this genius hack thing instead: he builds tiny free tools. Like 50 of them. Each one ranks on Google for some easy keyword, and each has a single line at the bottom nudging you toward his actual paid product.

The bit that got me is how he picks the keywords. In Ahrefs he only goes for ones with difficulty under 10 and at least a thousand searches a month. Small site, still ranks. Then he tells his AI to copy an old tool and swap the keyword, and a new one’s live in about 5 minutes.

That’s the whole machine. Around 50k people a month finding him for free.

If you build stuff and dread the marketing part, this is kind of the cheat code.
