Last week, brother Henry represented our chapter at the annual Horizons Leadership Summit in Snowbird, Utah, diving into outdoor adventure, whole-brain learning, and practical personal growth workshops.

Reflecting on his experience, Henry says, “Getting to connect with brothers from all over the country changes your perspective on the fraternity and shows you how deep the bond goes. The whole week pushes you to step up as a leader, as a man, and figure out how to bring real value back to your chapters.”

We’re excited to see the impact he’ll make this semester!

What’s more, the Delta Zeta chapter is a Bell Chapter, guaranteeing us a reserved spot at Horizons every year. Rush Sigma Chi to unlock exclusive, game-changing experiences like this! #inhoc #rushsigmachi taken in Snowbird, Utah by @sigmachi_wu

The Delta Zeta Chapter is excited to announce our new sweetheart Tehya Lewis!
Tehya is currently a sophomore from Salem, OR and is pursuing public health major. She values Sigma Chi’s commitment to community service, especially its support of the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
She adds, “Huntsman Cancer foundation is especially valuable to me since I have had countless encounters with people who have battled cancer, so it’s very important to me that we work hard to continue researching the disease”.
The decision comes from our new Sweetheart Chair Jack Nothom, who also holds Tribune and Assistant Magister positions. by @sigmachi_wu

#BearcatsOnBreak: Developing Leadership Across the Country 🌎

This summer, Jack Nothom BA'29, an Archaeology and Philosophy double major, traveled to Bowling Green State University in Ohio to participate in the Krach Transformational Leadership Workshop, a national leadership program for Sigma Chi brothers.

As part of the Adaptive Leadership track, @watchjackrun spent the week learning from accomplished Sigma Chi alumni through a world-class leadership curriculum while connecting with students from chapters across the United States. The program provided participants with complimentary lodging, meals, and educational programming, making it an incredible opportunity for personal and professional growth.

Jack also shared that Willamette's Delta Zeta Chapter was represented by chapter advisor Jordan Ruiz '16, who attended specialized training for chapter advisors alongside the student programming.

Reflecting on the experience, Jack shared:

"The workshop was a lot of fun, and I got to meet Sigma Chis from all over the country and from all walks of life completely free of charge."

From building leadership skills to expanding his national network, Jack is making the most of his summer while preparing to bring new ideas and experiences back to Willamette. by @sigmachi_wu

Meet the Presidents ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Representing Sigma Chi, Chance Moule
Chance is an incoming senior from Koloa, Hawaii. As president, Chance loves that he is able to get experience in running and improving an organization.
Some of Chance’s favorite FSL memories include weekly chapter meetings and hanging out with the members of Sigma Chi.
Chance did not come to college thinking he would join a fraternity. However, he notes that it is one of the best decisions he has made in his college career. by @sigmachi_wu
