POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Back to Back like Jordan ‘96/‘97 🇺🇦🦅🧬

This July, our brothers @williamshort06 @dompallo and @jack.sudderth had the honor of attending the Huntsman Retreat of ΣΧcellence in Salt Lake City, Utah. In the 25-26 school year, Eta Iota raised over $100,000 for the Huntsman Cancer Institute, setting our second ERAU Fundraising Record in a row. This is a true testament to our value of High Ambition, and we are incredibly proud to be a member of Huntsman’s 100K Club.

Will Short, 1052:

“Joining the 100k Club is an impressive milestone for our chapter. It’s amazing to see what a group of guys can do when we all work together and support a cause that is so near and dear to our hearts.

I took on philanthropy chair because I lost my cousin to cancer in 2024. He is the reason I had such an ambitious goal, and I hope I’ve made him proud. When I told the chapter my goal was to raise $100,000, the guys rallied behind me, brought support, and sacrificed so much to hit our goal.

We could not have achieved this without the help of the amazing soriorites that participated in Derby Days, @alphaxideltaerau @erausigmakappa and @erautrisigma . Every dollar raised helps us in becoming the Generation to End Cancer. I hope future generations will no longer have to raise money for cancer research, but until then, the Eta Iota Chapter will continue to break records and achieve milestones to end this battle.”

BROTHERHOOD SPOTLIGHT:
ZACHARY DUFFENS

Zach is a sophomore studying Aviation Maintenance Science who recently attended the Aviation maintenance competition at MRO Americas. He received the John Goglia professionalism award, and was awarded a scholarship to train at Pratt and Whitney on their CFM engines. His team also won in Rigid Tube Assembly.

“Being part of Sigma Chi as a Marine Corps veteran has been a meaningful way to carry the brotherhood and discipline I developed working on C-130s into my life at Embry-Riddle. After operating in high-pressure environments where accountability, trust, and professionalism were critical every day, I found a similar culture within Sigma Chi. It has given me the opportunity to bring the leadership, work ethic, and resilience I gained in the military into academics, philanthropy, and campus involvement while continuing to grow alongside other motivated individuals. To me, Sigma Chi represents more than just a fraternity, it’s a brotherhood built on leadership, character, and pushing each other to succeed.” - Zachary Duffens #1081
