@paaulaguevara: Dear Sigma Kappa,

When I first joined, all I really wanted was to find a community during my college years, but I never expected it to become such a big part of my life. Growing up as an only child, I never had a sister to share secrets with, steal clothes from, or call when I needed it. I didn’t fully understand what that kind of bond felt like. But somewhere between the late-night runs, deep conversations, inside jokes, and all the little moments in between, I found real sisterhood. I found girls who became some of the most important people in my life and made college feel like a second home. I’m so grateful Sigma Kappa gave me the sisters I never had and so many memories I’ll always hold close to my heart.

Thank you for some amazing experiences. You have given me some of my best friends, memories that I’ll cherish forever. I can happily say that I have found my future bridesmaids. You have given me a wonderful sisterhood that I get to call home. I’m also so grateful for the chance to give back to an amazing cause, the Alzheimer’s Association, one that is so deep and personal for me.

making an impact beyond our chapter. 🌎🤍

My experience in Panama with Global Brigades was truly unforgettable. Throughout the week, I had the opportunity to work alongside dental professionals, assist with patient care, learn more about different procedures, and help provide dental education to communities with limited access to care. Being able to interact with patients and especially the kids was one of the most meaningful parts of the trip. Seeing how excited and nervous some patients were to receive treatment they may not normally have access to completely changed my perspective and reminded me how privileged we are to have healthcare so readily available. This experience strengthened my passion for dentistry and made me even more excited for the career I am working toward. by @sigmakappafiu
