Senior Spotlight: Eric Bathija
Eric is a senior graduating this December, majoring in Biology. He has served as the community service and the mental health chair after being initiating in the Spring of 2024. Eric is aspiring to go to Physical Therapy school after graduating!

Joining this fraternity has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in college. I’ve met a lot of great people, made some of my best memories, and gotten way more involved than I expected to when I first started school. It gave me a group of guys I can always count on and made my college experience a lot better overall. Roll pi 🦉 by @sigmapisju

Brotherhood Spotlight: Tyler Boos

Tyler is a senior finance major from Middle Village, New York. He has been actively involved in Sigma Pi, serving as Apparel Chair and contributing to the chapter’s growth and events over the years. Tyler takes pride in being part of a strong group of guys and values the relationships he has built throughout his time in the fraternity. This summer, he will be interning in New York City as an FP&A intern at MetLife, continuing to build on his interest in finance. In his free time, he enjoys playing and following his favorite sports (soccer and tennis), spending time with his brothers, and traveling

“Starting at St. John’s as a commuter, I honestly never saw myself joining a fraternity. I kept to myself a lot my first semester and didn’t really go out much, but I knew I wanted to branch out, meet new people, and grow into a better version of myself during college. By my second semester of freshman year, I decided to at least give it a shot and see what it was about. I started talking to a lot of the guys, going to events, and just getting a feel for everything. Looking back now, it was easily one of the best decisions I’ve made in college. I’ve met people who have genuinely impacted my life, and I know these are friendships I’ll carry with me long after graduation.

Being part of this fraternity has pushed me to grow as a person and step outside my comfort zone. I truly believe it’s an incredible organization for anyone looking to build real connections and make the most out of their college experience. I’m grateful for everything it’s given me and excited for what’s ahead.” by @sigmapisju

Richie is a Finance major from Long Island, New York, pursing his Masters in Finance and at St. John’s. Holding a 3.80 GPA, he is also a member of several honor societies including Gamma Sigma Alpha, Order of Omega, and the Tobin Business Honor Society.

As a commuter student, Richie was initially hesitant about getting involved on campus. After attending rush events, he found a home in Sigma Pi. Richie served as Philanthropy Chairman (2023-2024) as well as our Chapter President (2024–2025), overseeing 40+ active members and strengthening relationships with university officials and alumni.

Outside Sigma Pi, Richie works as a Bartender and Server, and while also studying to acquire his FINRA certifications. Richie will also shortly begin an internship with Morgan Stanley’s Garden City Office. He was honored with the IFC Outstanding President Award (2024–2025). In his free time, Richie enjoys working out, spending time with brothers, and golfing.

“My time at St. John’s wouldn’t have been the same if I never met the brothers of Sigma Pi. Not only have I strengthened my capabilities of public speaking, I have grown to form a bond with my brothers, a bond that will last forever. I am excited to see what is next for our organization and the success of the brothers who follow after my graduation.” by @sigmapisju
