✨ Tutto è cominciato da qui.

Dieci anni fa, all’interno del Palazzo Bacile di Castiglione, prendeva vita la prima edizione di Classiche Forme: un fine settimana di musica da camera destinato, anno dopo anno, a diventare un festival dal respiro internazionale.

Ieri sera il festival è tornato là dove tutto è iniziato con “Trasparenze sonore”, un concerto che ha fatto dialogare due capolavori della musica da camera: il Quartetto per archi op. 44 n. 1 di Mendelssohn, luminoso e vitale, e il Quintetto per clarinetto K 581 di Mozart, una delle pagine più amate e riconoscibili del repertorio cameristico.

Sul palcoscenico il Novo Quartet @novoquartet e Calogero Palermo al clarinetto, protagonisti di una serata accolta da lunghi applausi e dall’emozione speciale di ritornare, a dieci anni di distanza, nel luogo in cui questa storia ha avuto inizio.

✨ Questa sera Classiche Forme prosegue ancora nel Chiostro del Palazzo Bacile di Castiglione, a Spongano, con “Kammersymphonie”, un concerto dedicato a due protagonisti del Novecento, Erich Wolfgang Korngold e Arnold Schoenberg. Sul palco il Trio Concept, insieme a Calogero Palermo al clarinetto e Arianna Picci al flauto.

・・Arnold Schönberg’s Verklärte Nacht contains one of the most striking harmonic moments in late Romantic music: the radiant D major chord that emerges towards the middle of the work. 🌄

The piece, inspired by Richard Dehmel’s poem of the same name, follows a story about a woman confessing to her partner that she’s pregnant with another man’s child. You can hear the stress in the music - it’s all these wandering, restless lines that feel like someone pacing back and forth in the dark, sick with guilt and anxiety.

Then, you hit that famous D major chord. Because Schönberg spends the first half of the work dragging you through the mud and the shadows, when that major key finally breaks through, it feels like a literal sunrise. It isn't just a "happy ending" - it feels like a sigh of relief you’ve been holding in for twenty minutes.

The festival focuses on young, talented, already established ensembles from around the world. 🪐 Our mission is to share our philosophy on ≪ the essential role of friendship in chamber music ≫ with other ensembles and with our audience.

The festival consists of 4 unique concerts, each with its own theme:
