👋🏼Hey everyone! My name is Manuela Posada, and I’m the owner and designer of Signed by Manuela. I’m a local artist raised in Somerville, currently living in Brookline.

✨I’m 33 and recently started working on my art full time so there’s LOTS of good stuff to come 🥰

⭐️I really enjoy this local area, businesses, architecture, travel and coffee.

✨I work with ink, acrylic, gouache, watercolor, digital art via adobe illustrator/procreate, and indoor/outdoor mural pieces.

🌟I create memorable sketches and paintings of where I am to inspire others to bring them home for interior design to be brought to the next level or as a gift them to a loved one to let them know of their travels and they were thought of.

🤩 My ♥️ is community and my life’s work is to be able to capture that and create lasting memories for all to enjoy.

I was in 3rd grade when 9/11 happened. I had been at school when my mom checked me out of school suddenly and when I asked her what was happening as we ran off campus she said “what is happening is absolutely horrifying and the world will never be the same”. 25 years later those words have never stopped ringing true. By the time we got home we saw the second plane hit the second tower live. That sensation of fear, confusion and immense pain has never left me. When I got older, I went to NYC for the first time and the first thing I did was go to ground zero and spend hours at St. Paul’s Chapel. I had never cried more in my life reading and learning of the events after 9/11 and the power of community. Fast forward to 2013 and during the Boston Bombing. I couldn’t stop thinking about 9/11. NYC showed up for us as did so many people around the world. It changed me forever once again. Fast forward to this morning waking up and experiencing the emotion of story after story and processing this day. It only felt right to sit in the garden and take the time to honor the ones we lost that day. These 219 flags represent a person tied to Massachusetts. May we never forget.

A very special piece for one of the best couples I have met thanks to my public piece in Washington Square, Brookline. They followed along in the process, supported me at pop ups and eventually became my friends 😭 Paige and Brady are so sincere and special. 1. It was Dancing Queen by ABBA for me (not included because I was also screaming my heart out).
