Have you ever been lost?
Somewhere along the way, I lost the strongest attribute I had: my mind.

Over the past several years, I’ve been on a world wind of bad decisions, poor choices and just very lost soul behavior. It never looks like it to social media, but my life at one point was just complete garbage. The last 2 years were the hardest..unlearning bad habits, righting my wrongs, and building a better foundation from the ground up.

I used to think I knew the cheat codes to life. They were actually just setbacks and avoidance of reality. I took so many falls and fails..never learning just continuing to stumble, covering it up with a new “cheat code”. Eventually all that cheating catches up to you and it certainly did for me.

I’m thankful for my journey, my family and my friends. People around me who taught me things unknowingly. Thankful for God allowing me to make it out the other end, with the many blessings that I have. This birthday was quiet..Just me and my mind. Nothing altering its thoughts, no one around to distract. I blow out my candles not wishing for a thing, but thankful for everything. taken in Brooklyn, New York by @signedtinamarie
