Have you been to the shore where the atmosphere (colour of the ocean, textures of rocks, yellow ochre colour of the sand, the sound of the endless ocean, occasional flight of birds in the background, not talking of the sprints and shouts of the playing children), brings back nostalgic feelings?

These memories are very common in most Ghanaian beaches.
I love experimenting with such scenes, thus capturing the true identity of infantry living in these areas.

Enjoy a series l made on these theme

I have always loved to see children play at the beach
Their shouts, as against the sound of the tide and splash on the rocks is unfathomed
Usually they sprint from one end of the shore to the other.
This painting is no exception.

What drives me to paint portraits is how to capture my subjects in the mood.
My quest to achieving this feat goes beyond just working straight from reference photographs or live models but rather making alterations in the expressions on the face of the subjects, and costumes if need be
