The 4th trimester has been a whirlwind of emotions and healing. What I imagined for birth didn’t unfold the way I had hoped—an emergency C-section and postpartum preeclampsia quickly shifted everything. There were moments of fear and exhaustion but also faith in God to carry us through the unexpected.
▫️This season has been about slowing down, being present, and allowing my body and mind the space/time to heal. Recovery has also been learning it’s okay grieve the birth experience I hoped for while also to embracing the one that brought our baby safely here.
▪️Through every high and low, I feel incredibly grateful. Grateful for this baby, for the strength of my body, and for the love and support that has surrounded us during this time.
▫️I’m especially grateful for my husband-steady, supportive, and showing up for our family in ways I’ll never be able to fully put into words. I’m thankful to be walking through this new chapter with him.

▪️I feel deeply blessed and appreciative of everyone who has checked in, shown up, and held space for our little family. And for you too, for reading this far 👉🏽👈🏽🥺

The 4th trimester is raw, emotional, and transformative—and I’m taking it one day at a time.🤍🤍🤍

A few years ago, I expressed that if I were to learn an instrument it would be a violin. New Year’s Day 2022 he gifted me this 🎻. For two years that violin watched me live life from a corner>>FFwd 2 months ago I decided I would learn to play the song I would be walking to. I wanted to show him how much I appreciate him while also giving God thanks for leading us to the Alter.
Every decision in life that led up to this moment I would do it 1000x over again to see this smile. I love this man with my whole existence. My heart is so full!! 😭🙏🏽♥️

${3/3} @sakpase_itsben Because of who you are-that has given me the safe space to be me, unapologetically. I’ve learned so much about myself by loving you. We push each other to be better. I want that forever. #Bars lol …I love us for us ♥️ • #GodDid #Love #Blessed #Happy #Engagement #MyHeart #fiance #couple #photography #smile #nextchapter #tokyo by @silaelise$
