Life hack: a few uninterrupted hours in a pod on Friday means finishing early and kicking off your weekend faster.

💡 According to a 2026 UK survey of 2,000 office workers, employees lose an average of 26 minutes of productive time every single day to noise.

Do the maths for a 100-person office, and that's roughly 9,500 hours lost a year. At an average cost of €30 an hour, you're looking at around €286,000 paid for noise-related disruption.

It might sound surprising coming from a pod manufacturer, but we're actually very supportive of open offices. They're great for energy, collaboration, and quick ideas. The expensive mistake is simply asking one acoustic environment to support everything.

🪄 So where do you start? Ask your team where noise gets in the way and assess your actual space. Zone the office by activity, set clear norms for calls vs focus time, and give people genuinely quiet places to retreat to when they need to think, whether that's acoustic treatment, quiet rooms, or pods.

You finally hit that perfect state of flow. Then comes the dreaded tap on the shoulder: "Hey, just a quick question!" 🫣

Suddenly, your brain drops the task completely. Mix that with the office coffee machine grinding, ringing phones, and someone's random cross-talk, and your deep focus is officially dead.

It takes up to 23 minutes to get back in the zone after a single interruption. Do the math for a full work week, and the numbers aren't pretty.

Does buying an affordable pod mean settling for less?
Short answer: only if you pick the wrong one. 👀

Most teams assume that a sensible price point means thin walls, terrible airflow, and a headache to put together. We built Chatbox to prove you don't have to sacrifice performance for price.

Alongside Space Gen 2 and Space Classic, Chatbox remains a trusted choice for companies. You get top-tier soundproofing, certified safety standards, and sleek modularity, just wrapped up in a more accessible package.

An office pod shouldn't feel like a bulky piece of equipment dropped into a beautifully designed office. It should feel like it was meant to be there. 🎯

We built Space Gen 2 alongside industrial design agency Iseasi using pure visual logic. Sharp proportions, a floating roof line, and soft occupancy lighting let it adapt to any interior without fading into the background. Not a generic box, just total architectural harmony.

As Martin Pärn, Designer at Iseasi, put it:
"An office pod should complement an interior rather than compete with it. We designed Space Gen 2 to be visually harmonious, bringing comfort, quality and thoughtful design to any workspace."

💪 Underneath that calm exterior is serious engineering: a lightweight recyclable aluminium frame, certified acoustic privacy, and a 20-year lifecycle built to be retrofitted indefinitely.

Update the finishes, switch the tech, or move it around the space. It always fits right in.

📸 Swipe to see what a workspace looks like when it’s designed for actual human beings.

Because an aesthetic office means nothing if your team spends the whole day hiding under noise-cancelling headphones just to get things done.

The companies in these case studies solved the noise problem without falling into the drywall trap. Instead of sinking their budget into permanent walls they’ll eventually leave behind for the landlord, they went elastic.

Modular pods give teams the quiet focus they need right now, while keeping the floor plan completely agile for whatever comes next. 💡

Steal some ideas for your own space.

We built a 10-meter quiet workspace right in the middle of an active British Airways airplane hangar, no drywall required. 🤫

When off-the-shelf pods aren't big enough and traditional construction is too slow, the Silen Focus Room steps in.

It's a fully customizable, autonomous room-within-a-room built for high-noise or complex spaces like active hangars, manufacturing sites, and open offices. ⚡️

Can't decide between a single focus pod and a big meeting pod? You don't have to choose. 🤝

Mid-sized pods give you the sweet spot. They offer generous elbow room for a long solo session without feeling awkwardly empty, while easily hosting 1-on-1 chats or small group huddles with up to four people.

Our Space Meet 2 (Gen 2), Space 2, Chatbox Duo, and Chatbox Duo Plus are built specifically for this middle ground.

Plus, you still get everything Silen is known for: certified premium acoustics, endless customisation options, and sustainable engineering built to last. 😉

🏙️ Can an office view get any better than this?

When you have the Thames and the London skyline right outside your window, the last thing you want to do is block it out with drywall. But in a busy Central London office, you still need a quiet place to actually get work done.

This modern workspace found the perfect balance. Thanks to the expertise of Marnie Davies and our UK reseller @welltekgroup they seamlessly integrated Silen pods to give the team instant privacy, top-tier acoustics, and deep-focus zones. All of this without sacrificing a single inch of that incredible city view.

See how Silen pods transformed this Central London office 👉 link in bio.
