43… and apparently still alive despite my best efforts to avoid people, phone calls, and most forms of social interaction 😌 I’ve been socially MIA for so long that posting this feels like a public reappearance tour nobody asked for but here we are. Aging gracefully-ish, creakily, and with a newfound appreciation for naps, boundaries, and saying “no” without a follow-up explanation. This year feels different though. Softer. More grateful. A little less apologetic for taking up space and minding my business. Also… let’s acknowledge the obvious: this photo is doing some heavy lifting for my self-esteem right now 😂 Huge, heartfelt thank you to Amanda Valentine for capturing this version of me I don’t always get to see. Also thank you to Jessica Saint for the magic with hair and makeup that made me feel genuinely beautiful, even if just for a day. That feeling stuck longer than I expected… and I’m holding onto it... since last year technically 😆 43 is looking a lot like: healing, humor, a little chaos, and a lot of gratitude. Still awkward.
