The past three days I have been adapting a short film script, which me and my last wife wrote. It’s largely kept true to the original idea and plot but I have improved the dialogue in parts. It’s a rather silly story about women that are shape shifting spiders. Yes you read that right. As someone that is terrified of eight legged freaks, it was a fun way of playing with my fear. It turns the concept of predator and prey on its head. Given the recent surge of attacks on women across the western world, it feels oddly timely and is like a rallying cry in response to that. You can read the three part short story on Written, Written a direct-to-reader publishing platform for authors. These are free to read. As I’m new to writing in this medium, I feel like I’m going to release a string of short stories for the rest of the year. It will give me a chance to improve and gain in confidence as I move towards my first full novella next year.
