while i was in china, i dedicated a significant amount of time to a personal project of mine called Divine Intervention

the initial idea emerged from my fascination with the role that technology plays today and the spaces for religious worship, specifically how modern tools can evoke the same emotional resonance as sacred spaces

given our past work and passions, idris and i decided to create an interactive visual installation that invites users into a conversation with technology, allowing them to generate custom synthesized melodies, sequence drums, and modulate those sounds through wearable gloves

all physical components within the space—the synth altar, the prayer candle drum sequencer, and the “higher being” cross— were handmade and digitally fabricated by us with wiring between two Arduino Megas handling all physical inputs, outputs, and sequencing

the audio environment within the space was powered by VCV Rack, with all user-triggered parameters transmitted via OSC from TouchDesigner

as for the visuals (text & audio-reactive projections), they were created using TouchDesigner —> serial communication —> Arduino

special thanks to flora & viola for their help & everyone else who contributed along the way :D by @sillycuteegirl
