RING SIMS // VOL. I | Round one from my exhibition with Von Booker as I prepare for my 5-round bout on July 18.

Every round is another opportunity to sharpen timing, composure, and execution before fight night.

I’ll be facing Cesar Tabanico on July 18 at Bull Shooters (35th Ave. & Peoria, Phoenix).

I’m currently seeking $130 in sponsorship to cover my required fighter physical and blood work.

Any individual or business that sponsors my fighter panel and physical will receive:

* A shout-out in my next highlight video.
* Promotion of your business or brand in that release.

We’re also looking for sponsors for Beto and any of our other fighters as we continue building our team.

If you’d like to support local Muay Thai and help us get to the ring, DM me for sponsorship details.

See you July 18. 🥊 taken in Sit.Silom Muay Thai Gym by @silommt

Kids Muay Thai program begins this summer at Sit.Silom Muay Thai.

Classes will run Monday through Friday, 5–6 p.m., at 1702 E McDowell Rd.

Tuition is $180 per month.

For families who want to pay ahead, we will offer a 3-month upfront rate of $500.

This program is for students who are ready to learn real Muay Thai fundamentals in a disciplined, patient, and structured environment. We will be working on stance, balance, footwork, jab, cross, hook, low kick, defense, control, respect, and the ability to listen and train with focus.

We do have gloves at the gym, but it is strongly recommended that students eventually purchase their own appropriately sized gloves.

Recommended starting gear:

Ages 8–11: 8–10 oz boxing gloves
Ages 12–15: 12–14 oz boxing gloves

Students do not need shin guards immediately. If they continue training seriously, cloth shin guards are a good first pair before moving into heavier training gear.

The gym is still in its early stages, and this kids program is part of what we are building long-term. As the program grows, we hope to add more resources, shirts, gear, and support for the students and the gym community.

This is the beginning of something real.

Split decision loss to @1ceezr Cesar Tabanico.
SPONSOR: @kingdomfloorcare (Local, Christian stone repair and care)

Of course I wanted the win, but this fight answered a question I’d been asking for months:

How much fatigue is from the fight against one’s own body to perform certain movements?

For this camp I made a deliberate decision to isolate one variable. I did almost no dedicated cardio. Instead, I invested nearly all of my time into restoring mobility in my hips, hamstrings, lower back, and feet.

The result? My conditioning eventually failed me. Cesar took over the fifth round, and deservedly so. He finished strong while I had nothing left in the tank.

But what surprised me was everything else.

For the first time in years I could throw my kicks without feeling like I was fighting my own body. Every technique required less effort. Even after five rounds, I finished the fight without the hip pain and stiffness that had become normal after every previous bout.

And I was about as tired as I’d been in fights in which I dedicated more time to running than stretching and mobility, which historically, I done very little of.

My shins were beat up from checking kicks, but structurally I recovered incredibly fast. Within two days I was able to run without pain, very much unlike previous fights.

To me, that’s evidence that mobility isn’t just about flexibility—it’s about efficiency. The less unnecessary tension you carry, the less energy every movement costs and shortens the healing cycle.

Now the experiment changes:

The mobility work stays and the running comes back.

If improved mobility reduced the cost of every movement, adding a stronger aerobic base should let me maintain that efficiency deep into the championship rounds instead of fading in the fifth.

Two more fights are already scheduled: Phoenix with @apx_apexfightleague and @cactusfightleague in Chandler on September.

Both at 130lbs.

The cue is the jab itself.

As soon as you feel your opponent begin extending the jab, switch your feet. Don’t wait for the hand to arrive. The knee takes longer to travel, so it has to leave first.

Most of the time they’re visually committed to the target of the jab, which delays their recognition of the knee until they’re already entering it.

This is an interception, not a race.

I love farang tourist pants. Thank you @moxlikesviolence for blessing me with a pair straight from Thailand ❤️

Stance is the foundation of everything that follows.

It determines your angles, your rotation, your power, and your defense. Your hips and spine should be aligned to rotate freely, your chest should be slightly bladed rather than square, and your feet should point along the circle around your opponent so your strikes naturally arrive on the correct line.

Before worrying about combinations, worry about how you stand. Most technical problems begin there. taken in Sit.Silom Muay Thai Gym by @silommt

“I’m always willing to kick the elbow. I would prefer not to.”

The difference between the closed side and the open side changes everything.

On the closed side, don’t drive straight into the point of the elbow. Cut the kick:

• through the triceps above the elbow,
• horizontally past the tip of the elbow,
• or turn the shin up at roughly 45° into the ribs.

The goal is to reach soft targets—not bone.

On the open side, the windows multiply. The centerline, forearms, sternum, liver, and even multiple targets can be reached with the same kick because nothing forces you to collide with the elbow.

Defensively, if you’re blocking a body kick, angle the forearm so the force transfers into the elbow and skeletal frame rather than absorbing it with muscle. That’s a structural advantage.

In training, protect your partners. In a fight, understand the geometry.
